Which is better - CBIT Hyderabad or VIT Vellore?

Students and alumni claim that a local college in Hyderabad would not be able to give one exposure, like an institute like VIT Vellore. VIT is an established college, with good international tie-ups. It provides good exposure at VIP compared to CBIT. Even if you look at placements, the opportunities are better than CBIT Hyderabad. VIT is a better bet than CBIT for Masters too. Chances of enhancing your profile and skillset at VIT is better than CBIT, where it's a struggle to do so.

How are hostel rooms allotted at CBIT Hyderabad?

The campus accommodates two students residential blocks that accommodate Senior students (II, III, and IV Years, PG) and Junior students (I Years). Both the blocks are separated distantly. The Juniors Block has 20 rooms of equal dimensions with occupancy of 200 students in total. The Seniors Block has 80 rooms with occupancy of 320 students. In a nutshell, 520 students in toto are able to be accommodated in these two blocks. The separation of Juniors Block and Seniors block is due mainly to curb any ragging related act.

Does CBIT Hyderabad follow a dress code?

Students at CBIT Hyderabad should come to the institute in a presentable and decent attire. For the workshops and laboratories, they should wear appropriate uniforms as prescribed and should be aware that long and open (unclipped) hair may make them vulnerable for accidents. Male students should wear shirts and full pants in general and they may wear any decent traditional dress with the approval of the authority. Female students should in general wear salwar kameez/chudithar with dupatta /full sari and they may also wear any decent traditional dress with the approval of the authority.

How are the placements for EEE & ECE Branch at CBIT Hyderabad?

Students from the EEE branch are allowed to sit for placement for most of the companies except for Microsoft and few other companies (maybe one or two ). But the hard part is cracking IT based companies,since they prefer hiring guys who have programming backgrounds as the mainstream. Placements are good for ECE students in CBIT as they get the opportunities in both Core companies & IT Companies.

Students and alumni say that it all depends on the job you are looking for. If you are looking for a core job, there are rarely any core companies recruiting students with a handsome package. If you are looking for a job in software side (mostly mech students get placed in service based companies like CTS, Wipro, Accenture and Infosys), with a little hard work, coding skills and a little grip in your core subjects and projects would definitely yield you a job here. If you are looking for a placement in a product based software company, they are mostly confined to CSE and sometimes, ECE. Most of the students also opt for further education. Here, CBIT has a good role to play because it gives great exposure to both technical and non-technical stuff.

Will an MBA at CBIT guarantee 100% placements?

According to our research, students say a strong NO! This is not only for MBA, but also for branches like CSE or IT who dont achieve a 100% placement rate.Due to few recruiters and more no of students and competitions, the placement percentage is less. Some students will be selected for 3 to 5 companies and some students will not be selected for any company. It all depends on your skills and talent on your subjects.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year wise fee is 165000 without hostel fee. For sem exam fee 2700.for sc ,st the fee is paid by government by applying schlorship. For other caste if the rank is below 10k the fee is paid by government by applying schlorship for who applicable for it.

CBIT : gold which rusted

The first our fees was 1.4L but they increased it to 1.65L this year not only that they also asked us to pay the last year additional fees that is we had to pay additional 25K this year. I got 5013 rank still i did not get any scholarship as i dont have reservation.

The annual tuition fee is Rs165000/- excluding other nominal exam fee and autonomous fees(around Rs 3-5k annually) and scholarship is provided for categories of ews/obc/sc/st on the provision on valid documentation and income proofs the fees has increased from the previously Rs140000/- annually from 2023 to 2024

Complete course fee is 1 lakh 65 thousand and 8,500 is affiliation fees and we have 2.5k semester fee which is 2 times an year and students who are eligible will be getting e-pass scholarships. Students with rank below 10k will be getting full fee reimbursement and students above rank 10k will be getting 35k reimbursement from college fee

I got free reimbursement. I am paying hostel fee 6500 and my friends are paying 165000 . I need to pay academic year fee 5500 ,Sem fee 2600 And my friends are not getting the fee reimbursement they need to pay total fee to collage and in my college in 1st year they ask to pay 134000 after 2nd year they increase amount 31000 and they ask to pay previous amount also that's it about my fee

Lab equipments : Some lab equipments need to be improved
Exam schedules : They rush semisters like anything. They do not give proper time for exam preparation

My college annual tution fee is 140000 not sure if it's the fixed one there may be hike in fee in coming two years according to fee regulation of Telangana. Including tution fee, hostel fee , monthly charges total bill is around ( 250000 - 35000 ) = 215000/Yr . Here excluded 35000 is the scholarship amount we get from government of Telangana.

Cbit college days

The fee is way too high compared to other colleges in the state . They charge upto 160000 per year. There are different scholorships provided for the students by the state governments according to the reservations and ranks secured.

Fee has increased suddenly so some are unable to pay

Course fee is 160000 and the government provided 35000 scholarship for students.Exam fee of nearly 2000 should be paid mandatorily every semister.We also have internship opportunities that have stipend of nearly 50000.

The fees is decided by the college at the start of the first year. So that will be same through out the course. This college is tied up with various organizations to provide scholarship for the students.

The fee structure of my college is one lakh fourty thousand per annum. Since I got the seat through ts eamcet Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. My fees is paid by the government.
