  • It was a great experience. The issue you are likely to face is that the city, Fredericton is relatively small and hence the amount of opportunities are less as compared to a bigger city.

Placement:

Placement depends on you and your skills. There are 3 career fairs, winter, summer and spring however finding a job entirely depends on your quality to network, upskill and connect with relevant folks from within the industry. The university is not liable for your placement as it is all across North America.

Internship:

Yes, at Kognitiv Spark. I do not want to share my stipend but they were industry rates. My Co-op converted to a full time role because my employers really liked me and they had an opening within the same department.

  • Dislikes:
  • The university is set on a hill meaning that you have to walk up and down the hill multiple times. God! That’s a whole workout every time.,
  • The university tells you to apply for scholarship but doesn’t necessarily say what all qualifications will get you that scholarship except for that you need 3.7 gpa.

Placement:

Many job fairs and many newsletters are telling you about different jobs. You should be doing internships from your second-year summer, at least. That way you'd have experience and it'd be easier to get a job. The alumni are in good places. But I don't remember specific details.

The admission process is pretty chill. They don't make a drama about it, unlike some other universities. You need your transcripts and a letter. They reply very quickly as well. There wasn't any exam to be taken for the university. I took ielts for the visa process. I didn't use anything for IELTS. Studied by myself. I chose this university because it tells you about its scholarships. And that made me hopeful that maybe I could get some. And I loved the place Fredericton and loved the aesthetic of the university itself.

The university had an Institute of biomedical engineering. The institute specialized in prosthesis research, which was what I sought to get into. I also sought to work with the professors associated with the institute to supervise my research.

Placement:

They offer a lot of opportunities with giving co-op people jobs during school time, which can, later on, be made from part-time to full-time jobs. additionally, being able to put UNB on your resume shows resolve and strength, which is something any employer would want to see.

It's the best one in the city and affordable. I didn't want to have to move out of my home town because I don't have the money for that. I also had several friends who attended and graduated and I went to them for their opinions before applying. They all talked of the teachers they enjoyed and told me the pros and cons, helping me decide.
