  • Bachelor of Technology in Power and Energy Engineering Technology Co-op is offered by the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University, Canada.This a bachelor's level program of a course duration of 4 Years.   • Our unique “diploma to degree” program is tailor-made for college graduates wishing to upgrade their education and further their careers. All eligible program entrants receive two years’ worth of advanced credit from their previously completed college diploma or university degree.
  • There are 24 courses required to complete your 4 year McMaster University degree. 17 core technical courses cover advanced math, electricity and electronics, control theory, thermal fluids, as well as power generation, distribution, quality, protection, and maintenance. Seven management courses complement your studies.
  • Graduates commonly work in the energy utility industry, for renewable energy integrators, for governmental bodies at all levels, and in the energy product manufacturing industry.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must hold an advanced technology diploma (3 years) or equivalent in a related technical field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 75% in one of the following fields:
    • Electrical Engineering Technology
    • Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • Electronics Engineering Technology
    • Energy Systems Engineering Technology
    • Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Students with educational backgrounds equivalent to those completing advanced-level college diplomas, including internationally educated applicants, will be considered on an individual basis.

Indian Student Eligibility

Students must have 5 subjects of Class XII  including all mandatory prerequisites for the selected program.

  • The student's average is calculated on Grade XII Predicted grades.
  • Students are eligible to apply if they have the following documents: Class X board results, Class XI transcript, and Class XII predicted grades.
  • Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
