Campus and Accommodations

We have a five-storey building and a lower level called Education House located in the downtown Toronto with 35,000 sq. ft. of space. There are 23 classrooms, an auditoriumand three computer labs. The majority of the classrooms are on floors three and four. The first floor has a student lounge, a student-run TSoM café, a kitchen and some classrooms.

Toronto School of Management does not supervise or regulate rentals but have made many resources available including the portals below to assist in your search for Housing through our Off-Campus Housing Service Team. We strongly recommend that all housing requests be made no later than one month prior to arrival.

Toronto School of Management Application Process

To apply to a TSoM Diploma program students need to be at least 18 years of age and would need to submit their passport bio page photocopy, their Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent international. For most programs, students must pass a Wonderlic Test.

English Proficiency Requirements

For non-native English speakers:

  • Have the required IELTS score or equivalent or
  • Successful completion of TSoM EAP Level as per program requirement
  • Pass the TSoM English Assessment (Written onsite or online with exam proctor)

Work While Study

For studies lasting longer than 6 months, you may apply for a Study Permit. You can work off campus (up to 20 hours) and full-time (40 hours per week) during scheduled academic breaks without a Work Permit as long as you meet all of these requirements:

  • You’re a full-time student at a designated learning institution (DLI)
  • You’re enrolled in an academic, vocational, or professional training program or your study program is at least 6 months long and leads to a degree, diploma, or certificate
  • Your Study Permit says you can work off campus
  • You’ve already started studying in a program
  • You have a Social Insurance Number (SIN)

Study Permit application

TSoM Students will be offered paid or unpaid entry-level positions related to their field of studies. The Career Services Department will provide full support to students on booking and preparing for interviews. It is the student’s responsibility to perform well during all interviews as well as during the full length of the co-op term. Placements are subject to availability and will vary based on the program, season and job market changes as well as the student’s English level and previous professional and academic experience. Should the co-op placement not be available, the student will be required to complete a Capstone Project as an alternative to graduate from the program. Not applicable for Diploma in Data Analytics Co-op and Diploma in Cybersecurity Specialist Co-op.

Student visa must be applied from your end. However, the Internation Advisory Team of the Toronto School of Management will offer advice on the application process for obtaing a study permit in Canada.
