What's New in Sask Polytech?

16 June 2025: Saskatchewan Polytechnic has updated its English language requirements, raising the minimum Duolingo English Test score from 105 to 110, aligning it with an IELTS equivalent of 6.5 for most programs. Note: program-specific English language proficiency (ELP) requirements may still apply. Check programs.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic admissions are offered in over 150 programs in the form of undergraduate degrees, diplomas, certificates and postgraduate certificates. Majority of the programs at Saskatchewan Polytechnic start in the month of September every year. Saskatchewan Polytechnic admissions to most courses are offered as first qualified, first admitted. Which means, sooner the application is received, the earlier that applicant will be admitted. Admissions to some undergraduate programs at Saskatchewan Polytechnic are highly competitive.

Admission to graduate courses at Saskatchewan have a similar application process with some having varying requirements. The priority application deadline for International students is May 1 for September intake and October 1 for January intake every. However, those applying for highly competitive courses must submit their application for Saskatchewan Polytechnic by February 15, 2024. All documents must be uploaded by March 1, 2023. Saskatchewan Polytechnic Admissions Decision

Admission decision of most courses arrives within 15 business days after application and required documents are received. Applicants will be notified via email regarding how they will receive the decision. The decision can be tracked via mySaskPolytech portal. Those accepted for admission will be required to submit a tuition deposit of 10,000 CAD (62.14 lakhs) within 30 days to confirm their acceptance.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Admissions: Selection Criteria

Saskatchewan Polytechnic acceptance rate is 96% which means the admissions are less competitive. The admissions at Saskatchewan are less competitive for the majority of the courses. For these less competitive courses, anyone applying earlier are offered admissions.

Admission to highly competitive courses are based on several factors which are as follows:

After submitting all the documents, students have to book a biometrics appointment. In some cases, students can be asked for a medical exam or police certificate.
