- The study and practice of sport management builds on the disciplines of business, law, organizational psychology, sociology, recreation, and kinesiology. The field of sport management is unique in that it captures a variety of sub-disciplines and is studied in a wide variety of contexts.
- Sub-disciplines include sport marketing, leadership, organizational behaviour, organizational theory, legal aspects, communication, sport for development, tourism, event management and legacy planning, and pedagogy. Sport management is studied and practiced in a variety of contexts: nonprofit and commercial sport; local, regional, provincial, national and global sport organizations; sport, recreation and fitness for participants and spectators.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
- English Grade 12U final grade 70% or higher
- Grade 12 mathematics final grade should be 65% or higher
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission to this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must meet the minimum requirements in English and maths subjects up to 60%, after receiving an admission offer.
- Students will need to submit school results for Class XI showing a competitive average and course registration for Class XII, or Class XII mid-year results.
- Students in CBSE or CISCE schools, present 75%+ on their final Class XII exams.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
Others:
- If students don’t have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) but are 21 years of age or older, they may be eligible to apply as mature applicants.

Students applying for admission in the master programs of Western University must have a minimum of 70% overall average in the last 2 full-time years of the undergraduate degree. Besides the GPA requirement there are certain program-specific requirements as well.
