- Cheaper than USA and easy visa route than USA. So, this was my option.
- Not all the courses are practical and some delve into too much theory. Since it is a professional course without a thesis option, I thought this was one downside. Professors may not be the best always."

Required Exams for Admission
The university is overall impressive and good. The program has 3 fields to dive into - Big Data, Visual Computing and CyBig data is my field and I believe this program is solid for it.
Course Curriculum
Courses are updated and relevant. Since it wasn't a thesis based program, there's a mix of theoretical and practical experience. The program has Big Data labs which help in getting experience in Python, data science, big data etc.
Faculty
There's a 40:1 ratio approximately for the faculty to students. All faculties are approachable and kind. Dr. Greg Baker and Dr. George Chow were notable professors I really liked learning Big Data under.
Campus Life
Campus life is good, not the best since it's on a mountain so accessibility is less. But the infrastructure, events held and extracurricular activities are all par with competing universities.
Placement
They are good. It has a co-op program which is very helpful to students. Students got placed for the summer term. Median salary ranges a lot from 20$/ hr to 40$ /hr.
Accommodation
Living in a shared basement apartment with one more student in a private sharing room. Not comfortable sharing further details. Rent is between 700-1200 CAD around the university. Rent decreases as you go farther.
Exams
GRE - not required. I gave it and got 315. The university did not accept it IELTS - 7.5 3 Letters of Recommendations are required 1 SOP required. Follow the key points of what the University expects from you in their website.
Fees
45,000 CAD for 16 months
