It's been different from how we learn in India, there are research papers to read and that's where you absorb all your learning from. You may take a week or two to get used to it, but it's quite helpful. Just make sure you read smart or it'll take up a lot of your time. It's one of the best universities! I wanted to stay in the lower mainland. Enrollment included a fee, questions to be answered in paragraph form about why I want to be a student at SFU, as well as grades entered from grade 10-12. I prepared myself online. I did not enjoy my experience overall, the campus was very cold, dark, not inviting. The students were extremely competitive as it was a pre med school major so making friends was very difficult. I wanted to go to a university in Canada as I believe that there are more opportunities for students, especially international students, to succeed in Canada. I chose SFU because they have a really great business program focused on the concentrations I wanted to pursue. It is a very well-known university in Canada and is still affordable! While it might not be known internationally, in the networking events or interviews that I have been to here, many employers have great things to say about the university.
