Post Degree Diploma [Web and Mobile App Design and Development] From Langara College

This two-year post-baccalaureate diploma program that focuses on web and mobile app design and development, from concept to deployment. The program encompasses visual aesthetics (including typography, colour theory, and graphics), client and server programming, user experience design, and project management. Students choose to enter the designer or developer stream of the program when they apply, although there is the possibility to change their focus up until the second term.

Students collaborate on several major projects, as well as creating real-world applications, developing digital portfolios, and building industry connections. At the end of the program students will possess the specialized design and development skills the industry is looking for. Students complete four academic terms, then have the opportunity to participate in an optional experiential work term.

This four-semester Ontario College Graduate Certificate program is designed to provide hands-on, comprehensive training for those who desire to work in the field of web-centric business application development. The primary focus of the program is on user-centered design supported by extensive back-end programming and front-end use of graphic design, multimedia, video, animation, and e-commerce applications to facilitate a fully functional website. Students will apply human interface guidelines, standard-based structures, and design and development principles to create accessible, usable, and captivating web experiences geared to today’s marketplace.
