- The most likeable thing is that we get a good blend of research faculty and industry-aligned faculties.
If you are looking for research then Unimel is one of the best, but from my experience, the syllabus is good which would make you an extrovert but it feels a bit of repetition.

I chose this university because of multiple factors: - Ranking - Teaching - Course structure I would say the overall experience is pretty good. I chose to do a Master of International Business because I feel it brings to the table a lot more with regards to the International aspect and adds a global perspective to all the subjects.

- I absolutely love the University of Melbourne for several reasons. First, the infrastructure is state-of-the-art, providing a conducive environment for both learning and research. - While there's a lot to appreciate about the University of Melbourne, there are a few areas that could be improved. One aspect is the high cost of living and tuition, which can be a significant burden for many students. Additionally, the academic workload is sometimes overwhelming, which can affect work-life balance, especially for those also handling part-time jobs or extracurricular activities. Another issue is that some administrative processes can be slow or bureaucratic, which can be frustrating when trying to resolve issues quickly. Lastly, while the university offers many resources, navigating them can be challenging for new students, who might struggle to find the right support at the right time.
When I applied to the University of Melbourne, the process required a Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement but no interview was necessary. In the GTE, I focused on why I chose the university and the specific course, detailing my interest in the subject and my career aspirations, including plans to seek employment after graduation. Although the application didn't require a Statement of Purpose (SoP) or Letters of Recommendation (LoRs), I did need to submit a CV. In my CV, I highlighted my relevant academic and professional experiences, skills, and accomplishments that aligned with my chosen program, ensuring it presented a compelling case for my admission. I chose the Master of Information Systems program at the University of Melbourne primarily because it's accredited by the Australian Computer Society. This accreditation not only ensures that the skills and knowledge I gain are recognized globally but also opens doors to membership in prestigious organizations like the Association for Computing Machinery and the Association for Information Systems. The university's strong reputation for excellence in technology and its comprehensive curriculum that aligns with industry standards made it an obvious choice for my career aspirations. Plus, the vibrant campus life and Melbourne's status as a tech hub were additional factors that drew me to this institution and program. My overall experience at the University of Melbourne has been incredibly fulfilling so far. The campus is vibrant and full of opportunities for personal and professional growth. The faculty are knowledgeable and supportive, and my peers are from diverse backgrounds, enriching our discussions and group projects. The curriculum is challenging yet rewarding, perfectly blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications. This environment motivates me every day to push my boundaries and enhance my skills.

- The flexibility in choosing courses and change degrees midway.,
- The best part I feel about my University is that despite being a commerce student, I have the freedom to choose a maximum of 6 subjects from any other field than that of my focus for example I can choose to study one subject course of computer science, or biology, or even fine arts and theatre

- I dislike the fact that a students has to be an over achieving student to receive any honorary awards or scholarships. I personally feel it to be a tedious task as I work part time and study, so I find it difficult to excel in all aspects of university such as grades and extracurricular activities
My overall experience has been fun, enlightening and has contributed to my personal and professional growth. I have learnt how to manage my time, priorities and even my social life with the amount of freedom I have. Study is hard, but once you've learnt how to crack assignments and tutorial work, exams become easy tasks whether they are held online or offline. I have made many connections over the years and have also been a part of many student clubs and societies. I have also maintained good relationships with some of my professors and tutors whom I take advice from, from time to time.

- University of Melbourne is the highest ranked university in Australia, and what attracted me to it was the "Melbourne Model" which allows students to study subjects under different faculties. This was particularly interesting to me since I wanted to experiment with different subjects before making up my mind about my career. Furthermore, Melbourne is one of the best cities to live in, offering opportunities to learn about different cultures and ways of life. All these factors in cumulation made UniMelb my first choice!,
- The academic flexibility with regards to shifting your majors or studying subjects under different faculties, cross-cultural exposure given the international nature of the university and the myriad of internship or paid employment opportunities at one's disposal.
- Dislikes:
- University life in Australia can get quiet isolating given the divide between domestic and international students. I found the lack of sense of belonging to the most promising challenge. Moreover, the curriculum is structured to emphasizes independence and self-reliance, which can pose a significant challenge for students coming from diverse educational backgrounds.
I would rate it as superb, it has pushed me to try and experiment. I have loved it through and through!

My overall experience was very wholesome. I visited Melbourne during CoViD period and the university helped me a lot to carry on with my research work.

- Too flexible you have to search your own timetable.,
- its really hard I do not think the entry scores reflect how hard the course is,
- You cannot find proper space to study, too many people in libraries
