- The most likeable thing is that we get a good blend of research faculty and industry-aligned faculties.
Campus Life:
Please attend the club activities if you have time after returning from your part-time job as it is a good way to connect with new people. Please always network with people that's the most important thing in Australia .
Hostel:
The rental market is really bad in Australia so along with your college fees please budget money for accommodations as well because the average rent in the city would be 250-300 AUD per week.

Campus life is amazing. Some of the other kinda events will be hosted by clubs and sometimes by the University itself. Every building has good wifi connectivity. Libraries exist both online and offline. We have sports areas where people get to practice whatever they wish to.
Hostel:
I live with my friend and I pay AUD 1440 every month. I live in an apartment setup which is in the heart of the city. If students move to the suburban areas they end up paying less. The average they might end up paying would be AUD 400 - AUD 500 per month.

- I absolutely love the University of Melbourne for several reasons. First, the infrastructure is state-of-the-art, providing a conducive environment for both learning and research. Additionally, the university hosts weekly events that not only enrich the academic experience but also offer fantastic opportunities for networking and personal growth. The diversity on campus is another highlight; it's truly inspiring to be surrounded by students and faculty from all over the world. The vibrant campus life keeps every day exciting and full of new experiences. Lastly, the university's strong industry connections enhance our learning with real-world applications and open up numerous pathways for future careers.

- While there's a lot to appreciate about the University of Melbourne, there are a few areas that could be improved. One aspect is the high cost of living and tuition, which can be a significant burden for many students. Additionally, the academic workload is sometimes overwhelming, which can affect work-life balance, especially for those also handling part-time jobs or extracurricular activities. Another issue is that some administrative processes can be slow or bureaucratic, which can be frustrating when trying to resolve issues quickly. Lastly, while the university offers many resources, navigating them can be challenging for new students, who might struggle to find the right support at the right time.

Everything is awesome at UniMelb, you just have to go and find it join clubs and make new friends

So, I am staying at student accommodation in Melbourne CBD, and they charge 479 per week for a shared apartment and private bathroom. It is a bit expensive, but just like for a few months, that will do. later on, I suggest you find another cheap one in real estate or domain.

- The flexibility in choosing courses and change degrees midway.,
- The best part I feel about my University is that despite being a commerce student, I have the freedom to choose a maximum of 6 subjects from any other field than that of my focus for example I can choose to study one subject course of computer science, or biology, or even fine arts and theatre
- Dislikes:
- I dislike the fact that a students has to be an over achieving student to receive any honorary awards or scholarships. I personally feel it to be a tedious task as I work part time and study, so I find it difficult to excel in all aspects of university such as grades and extracurricular activities

Campus life is always happening. There are over a hundred clubs and societies and much more activities provided by the student union. The city campus is huge with dedicated building for each faculty and large library with private spaces for self and group study. the sports complex also includes a gym, pool and playing court for all kinds of sports.
Hostel:
Accommodations for students are available in abundance all around the campus. Students can choose to stay individually or in a shared apartment. The average cost of rent per month including utility bill, excluding external costs such as food and outings, is around $2400 AUD.

- University of Melbourne is the highest ranked university in Australia, and what attracted me to it was the "Melbourne Model" which allows students to study subjects under different faculties. This was particularly interesting to me since I wanted to experiment with different subjects before making up my mind about my career. Furthermore, Melbourne is one of the best cities to live in, offering opportunities to learn about different cultures and ways of life. All these factors in cumulation made UniMelb my first choice!,
- The academic flexibility with regards to shifting your majors or studying subjects under different faculties, cross-cultural exposure given the international nature of the university and the myriad of internship or paid employment opportunities at one's disposal.
- Dislikes:
- University life in Australia can get quiet isolating given the divide between domestic and international students. I found the lack of sense of belonging to the most promising challenge. Moreover, the curriculum is structured to emphasizes independence and self-reliance, which can pose a significant challenge for students coming from diverse educational backgrounds.

The university has made significant efforts in the past to celebrate different cultural festivals from Diwali, Holi to Chinese New Year in a bid to foster cross-cultural interaction. The events range from Mental Health Week to weekly Bands and BBQ in the campus.
Hostel:
There is an eclectic range of accommodation options for students. These could range from $500/ week to the cheapest at about $250/ week. However, these are significantly more expensive in the city, cheaper options are available in the suburbs.

- University of Melbourne's world-class ranking and multi-cultural research environment attracted me.

UniMelb is having great campus life as it offers a lot of extracurricular activities and all the possible facilities such as libraries, free wifi, sports clubs, gym, clubs for multi-culture societies, fitness, fun and learning.
Hostel:
The University of Melbourne does not have accommodation itself, rather they partner with the UniLodge. The UniLodge accommodation is though convenient but its expensive relatively. One should get private accommodation for him/herself.

Beautiful campus with a mix of old buildings from 1880s and new labs as well. Excellent sports facilities. Used to play lot of table tennis. Office/lab space is conducive for productive work.

Accommodation has to be arranged personally. Depending on location in Melbourne the rent and other utility prices vary.

- Too flexible you have to search your own timetable.,
- its really hard I do not think the entry scores reflect how hard the course is,

The campus life is amazing, you study play and learn a lot of new things there. There are many people studying there from different parts of the world. The infrastructure is superb including sports and medical facilities. There are many campus fest there which you enjoy and participate. If you can afford and meet the eligibility criteria you should definitely go there.
Hostel:
I rented an apartment nearby there so that travelling does not become a concern for me. I choose my accommodation by searching online and by talking to my well-known friends there. I cook my own food and managed my living.

The infrastructure is fabulous. It is literally state of the art. Anything you name it, library, gymnasium, sport facilities. Since lockdown started because of the pandemic last year, the social interaction has been very minimal. I started in 2019, at that time social interaction was there. There are a lot of clubs, societies and the parties that go on. You get a lot of opportunities to meet people, like-minded people and not necessarily just people from the same ethnicity, you meet people from all around the world and learn a lot of things. The university has a lot of societies. It's actually a vast array of societies and cultural societies that they have over here. They have economic society, Bollywood society, Indian society, dance society, etc. I would like to recommend that whoever is applying for this university, try and reach Melbourne at least one week before your program starts so that you can attend the orientation week. In that particular week, obviously you will get the whole tour of the university. All around the year, there are free programs that are conducted. There is astronomy club, chess club, etc. You do occupy throughout the year.
Hostel:
I was living in private accommodation whereas there are 3 types of accommodation available. First is we can go for university accommodation, second is private accommodation and the third is we can look for a flat or house nearby university. University accommodation is not so good, there are not so much facilities but that is quite economical.
