Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must have a bachelor's degree in the engineering field from a recognized university.
  • Applicants with a bachelor's degree in engineering other than civil engineering may be granted conditional admission.
  • The minimum GPA required for admissions into the master’s program is 3.0.
  • Applicants with bachelor's degrees in non-engineering majors who have the required math, physics, chemistry, computer programming, and CAD can apply to the graduate program. 
  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTSTOEFL, or PTE scores. 

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects.
  • Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry, and physics in Class 11 and 12.
  • Or, students completed a master's degree from a recognized institution.

Students applying for admission in the MS Computer Science program of Rutgers University, must have undergraduate program in Computer Science, or at least taken the core prerequisite courses. The mean GPA for the last admitted batch was 3.62. Along with that you must also have a valid GRE score.
