- Students should acknowledge, understand and appreciate the ethics and morals of research in Biotechnology, its impact on humanity, society, and history.

- The program goal is to build a strong foundation in their knowledge of Biotechnology, Students should successfully complete and demonstrate a working knowledge of five “core” courses.
- The major in biochemistry is offered in collaboration with the biology and chemistry departments.
- The multidisciplinary biotechnology program, with an emphasis on the biomedical aspects of biotechnology, includes an internship at The Institute of Human and Molecular Genetics at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have passed high school with good grades
- Students are required to have the following academic units:
- Four years of English
- Three years of college-prep math
- Two years of history; three total social sciences,
- Two years of a foreign language
- Three years of science, with at least two years of lab science
- At least three additional units in any combination of the subject areas listed above
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
- In lieu of a TOEFL or IELTS score, students may use SAT or ACT test scores to satisfy the English Language Requirement (SAT 510 on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Section or ACT English & Writing with a minimum score of 19 in each section)
- SKYPE or in-person interview may be used in lieu of a recommendation letter

- Statement of Purpose - This is an essay or any written statement written by the student while applying.
- Personal History Statement: It describes how their background, accomplishments, and life experiences led to their decision to pursue the graduate degree they are applying for.
- College Transcripts: The marks statement provided by the education board after completion of the previous academic qualifications.
- Personal Video: Students may upload a 1-3 minute personal video in the application's Audio/Visual uploads section.
- Interview and Writing Test: After applying, students may be required to complete an interview and/or writing test.
- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.

Graduates of the Physics program are well prepared to pursue advanced graduate study in physics or allied disciplines, to embark immediately upon a professional career in science, or to enter one of the numerous careers which require or are enhanced by a broad knowledge of scientific principles for today’s technological society.
