DePauw University Undergraduate Admissions

UG at DePauw University offers about 50 major courses. There are also several minor degree programs offered by the university. The undergraduate courses offered by the university include art history, computer science, biology, physics, sociology, English, earth sciences, mathematics etc.

Documents Required for UG Admissions

The documents required to complete the application process for the undergraduate freshmen students are as follows:

• Completed the online application
• Transcripts of the recent secondary/ high school or University. These transcripts should come directly from the institution and must contain the marks or grades of the last four years. The documents should be translated into English.
• English Language Proficiency test scores.
• The university follows a test-optional policy and students can choose not to submit their standardized test scores of ACT or SAT. However students applying to honor’s program need to submit the scores of these tests.
• Essay or Statement of Purpose of about 250 to 500 words on a topic of your own choice.
• Financial support document showing your ability to pay for at least one year of the program.
• Interview - Optional
• Students applying to the school of music need to appear in separate auditions for admissions.

Students also need to submit the international financial need based application for consideration of scholarships. Students who get accepted into the university need to pay a non-refundable fee of 400 USD to secure the admission. Admitted students can also defer their admission by one year after paying an advance tuition deposit of 1,100 USD.

DePauw University Transfer Student Admissions

The university also accepts transfer students willing to transfer from other institutions in the USA. The transfer students follow the same application process as the regular students but need to follow some additional steps. The transfer students need to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (80%) in all college level work in order to apply to the university. Apply Online with university website

Application deadline: Winter/ spring semester (December 1), fall semester (June 1)

The transfer students need to complete the following steps in order to apply to the university:

• Complete the transfer student common application online.
• Submit a common application college official’s reports.
• Submit all the official transcripts of the previous college attended.
• Submit a final high school transcript. Students can use an unofficial transcript during admissions but the original needs to be submitted during enrollment.
• Students applying to the school of music need to complete the audition process.
• Students need to work with the registrar’s office to initiate the transfer credits.
• Submit a non refundable fee of 400 USD to enroll in the university or accept the admission.
• Students can also defer their admission for 1 year by paying a fee of 1,100 USD.

DePauw University follows a smooth admission process for the undergraduate students. All the results of the application are communicated within one month of the application.
