Scholarship:

Bright futures, based on tuition and $1,000 from Brandon Regional Hospital.

It’s ranking and opportunities, as well as affordability and location I would say academically I haven’t done as well as I’ve hoped, but my GPA and grades are still decent. The social scene is an 8.5/10, as I’ve made lots of friends and have good involvement outside of class.

  • Dislikes:
  • Its a common issue among all the colleges and universities in the USA, that there is no placement cell as we find in Indian colleges, hence students have to grind for jobs on their own. Apart from that there is not much to dislike about.

Scholarship:

4,500$ Total.

Its a good experience as long as you take benefit of the services offered to you as a student. If you are paying such hefty amount make sure you extract every dollar out of it by honestly studying and making the best out of it.

  • Dislikes:
  • There are few things which i personally did not like about this university. Firstly, It is the location where the university is situated i.e gainesville area. There is not much to do here in gainesville apart from the university area so sometimes it becomes monotonous to be there. Also, the food, specially the indian cuisine is a bit expensive there as compared to other states. Secondly, the weather conditions are extreme mainly during summer its unbearable. Thirdly, i did not like the grading system at UF.

Scholarship:

Yes, I attained a scholarship for having commendable record at my undergrad university in ECE stream. They provided a scholarship of 4500$. There was no separate form for that.

My overall experience at UF was good. It was a great opportunity to pursue my master's program abroad as it not only helped me in gaining academics knowledge but also to understand and interact with people from different places and background.

Scholarship:

Yes, I received the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering Achievement Award Scholarship for ONCAMPUS, NON-FLORIDA RESIDENT New Engineering Graduate Students.

I was quite sure about the features I wanted in the program I wanted to apply for. The University of Florida piqued my interest because it had excellent research work being conducted in the field I was most interested in. It is of course a prestigious university while still being economic. It has very good connections with NASA as well which provides exceptional work and internship opportunities to students.

No, I didn't receive any scholarship.

Low tuition among universities with the same level of research and high reputation. I wanted to get into this university for more exposure and better facilities.

No, I have not received any scholarship opportunities. I have applied for quite a few but have not been chosen, unfortunately.

It is the best college in my state for the program that I am getting my degree in. I have always wanted to go to UF and decided at a very early age that it would be my first pick school. I also knew there wouldn't be a chance I could go out of state.

Financial aid can be tricky depending on your luck. Financial aid doesn't always go through, so you have to stay on top of your account and visit the aid office frequently upon the beginning of the semester to hammer them about your money. Bright Futures was rather simple, especially if you have the Academic Scholars one because you get full tuition and a $300 book stipend. Bright Futures was automatically added to my account. The private, local scholarship had difficulties because UF's system was down and only took account for partial people who received scholarships, but I haven't had any problems since.

The distance to home was rather close, and I was still able to use my Bright Futures Scholarship money, as well as gain a local scholarship to the University! In addition, my close friend was planning on attending this college, so it helped finalize my decision.

I am a recipient of Florida Bright Futures after the initial application was completed I have had to maintain my college GPA. When financial aid is released, my bright futures payment posts in my account with the UF Bursar and I no longer have outstanding charges. Within a few days, any excess aid is directly deposited to the bank account I have linked.

My college has an amazing Health Science program, and from here it is possible to move into the University of Florida Medical School without changing towns again! Gainesville is also less metropolitan than most other Florida universities do which was appealing to me.

The pharmacy school is one of the best in the country and matches a lot of their students for residency programs. It is also where my mom went to undergrad. The college is also in a great location and I love the town.
