The University at Buffalo Biotechnology degree program provides students with advanced coursework in biotechnical and biomolecular sciences. Graduates are prepared for positions in research, and industrial research and development laboratories, sales/technical representation in biotechnology, chemical or pharmaceutical companies, or to advance to PhD programs related to biomedical sciences. An internship possibility exists for selected students during the program. Opportunities for biotechnologists are extremely varied, and employment is available in both the public and private sectors.
