Through interdisciplinary coursework and a variety of laboratory experiences, students will learn from faculty scientists with expertise in neuroscience-related fields across more than 20 departments and divisions at the University at Buffalo. Neuroscience students have the freedom to select a variety of courses in their respective fields of research. However, all students are required to take certain neuroscience-specific courses. Their programs deliver a comprehensive background of modern medical neuroscience, through an inclusive curriculum focusing on how the central nervous system is organized, the pathophysiology of disease, and treatment of disease states.
