Amity University Jaipur Ph.D. Admission 2024 Details

Amity University Jaipur offers Ph.D. degrees in 20 streams both in Full-time and Part-time mode. 

• Admissions to the course are done twice a year. 
• Full-time PhD Course students should devote their time thoroughly to the research field. 
• Candidates must have completed their master's from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks. 
• Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the PET as per the University guidelines. PET will be followed by an interview on the same day of the examination. 

Amity University Jaipur Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The basic Eligibility Criteria that a candidate should fulfil to seek admission to Amity University Jaipur, Ph.D. course is that a candidate should have a master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks. 

Admission to this course is based on the candidate's valid score in PhD entrance exams. Qualifying students need to appear for the English language test and personal interview conducted by the University. After clearing all the rounds, a merit list is released showing all the selected students in the list.

• Candidates who have completed their M.Phil degree can also apply for admission to Ph.D. course.
• Candidates seeking admission in the course should have a minimum of 60% in 10th and 10+2 level.
• Candidates from the University of Chartered Accountants of India with a minimum of 55% mark can also apply for admission
• Admission to the PhD course is conducted twice a year i.e., in January and July.
• Foreign students need to carry all the certificates of Eligibility for applying to Amity University.

Amity University, Jaipur Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the PhD course is initiated by the PhD entrance test. Then after the GD and Personal Interview round takes place the selected candidates are called for a further admission process. Admission to the university is conducted in both offline and online modes.

Entrance Test Details

The Entrance Test shall be of one and half-hour duration (i.e. 90 minutes) and of 100 marks consisting of 100 objective types of questions. The Entrance Test will have two Sections as mentioned here:

Amity University Jaipur Ph.D. Course Details

The Ph.D. program is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. Ph.D. full-time is for a minimum of 3 years and Ph.D. part-time is for a minimum of 4 ½ years. The maximum duration in the case of both modes is 6 years. Ph.D. Course is offered in the university under 39 Specializations. Below is the detailed information regarding the course.

• All candidates admitted to Ph.D. programs have to compulsorily do the course work assigned and shall be required to take a written examination for the same.
• The coursework period will ordinarily be of a minimum six months duration.
• A candidate will earn credits for a Course Unit only if he obtains a minimum of Grade B+ (Points 07 on a scale of 10). If a candidate fails to get a qualifying Grade of B+, he/she will be given a second opportunity to improve his/her qualifying Grade to B+, i.e. Point 7 on a point scale failing which his/her registration is liable to be cancelled.
• Scholars shall be required to undertake coursework for a minimum period of one semester, not exceeding one academic year from the date of the provisional registration

Amity University Jaipur Ph.D. Scholarship

The candidate must have a first-class academic record up to a Master's Degree from a recognized college / University. The ASTIF Fellowship will be given to only those candidates who are not getting fellowship from any other agency and those who have shown remarkable progress in research work after joining Amity's Ph.D. Program.
