Course includes more practical work rather than bookish knowledge. All depends on your hand work in practicals and your confidence. Total 4 Exams are held per year. First 3 are conducted by college and final exam is conducted by university.

I also wanted to be a Dentist. Dentistry is very interesting and amazing field. It is as important as other medical courses. This field is full of challenges you would love to challenge. Students has to study a vast syllabus to become a Dentist.
I did choose this course because I want to become a doctor but my first preference is taken admission in MBBS private college but the fees of private Mbbs college is out of my parents limit, thats why I choose to BDS private college, the strength of my class was 100, my college contains 3 big lecture halls, 100 students can sit at a time during a lecture in one lecture hall, most of the faculties are post graduated , and I want to say that frankly, it depends on student to study however he or she wants, faculty only give guidance , the exam was always in time but sometimes 1-2 month delay in the exam which is not so serious
I am an under graduate student of bachelor of dental surgery and we get all the updates on DCI website regarding the syllabus, any new guidelines, etc. Seminar and webinar are executed for up gradation on particular department. Nonetheless, without the support of my respected faculty and my senior, we could hardly think of doing a single patient. All thanks to them.
The fee structure for UG(BDS) for the whole year is Rs. 2,06,309 and the fees for PG(MDS) is RS. 4,54,062. Which is quite affordable for the students compared to other private institutes. If the student is willing to avail Student loans he/she is very welcomed to do so.
The duration for bachelors of dental surgery course is of 4 years. Every year we have to pay the same amount of fee. You have to pay the same tuition fee. The tuition fee for every year is around 221115 rupees. The grand total of the bachelor of dental surgery program is around 854460 rupees.
The course fee for BDS is Rs. 2,06,309 which is feasible when compared to other private colleges. For PG, that is, MDS the course fees (per year) is RS. 4,54,062. We are given stipend during our internship which is quite helpful.
The fees for the first year is Rs.21,900. For the rest of the years the fees is Rs.21,800. GDC being a government college has a good fees structure is not expensive. With this fees structure and good education I am sufficed studying in GDC.
