University of Oxford Ph.D Law Fees, Eligibility, Admission & Deadlines

- A first-class honours undergraduate degree in law is required, though exceptional candidates with first-class honours in a relevant subject may also be considered.
- A bachelor's degree from the USA typically requires a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 to meet the undergraduate-level requirement.

A strong 2:1 is 60%-70% (4-year) or 65%-70% (3-year), a first-class is 65%-75% (4-year) or 70%-75% (3-year), and a master’s requires 55% to pass, 60% for merit, and 70% for distinction.

• Unofficial Transcripts of the undergraduate record- The transcrips provided by the recognized Institution.
• Statement of marks - The marks statement provided by the education board.
• Letter of Recommendation (3)- This shows who recommended the student to pursue the degree.
• Personal statement of interest – Please describe (within 1000 words) how your personal background and experiences influenced your decision to pursue a graduate degree.
• Proposed field and title of research project & Proposed supervisor
• Financial Documentation - The Proof that shows the financial background of the student.
• English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOFEL, PTE, etc.
