- Location: Nottingham is a huge city and the university campus is spread across the entire city. The lectures for my particular course were held mainly in the “Nottingham Business School” (NBS) building, which is in NG1, very close to the town hall, accessible by all forms of local public transportations such as, Tram Line and various different buses from private to public.
- Library: Nottingham Trent University (NTU) Library is right next to the NBS is very easily accessible, operating 24/7 it is easily accessible and provides various forms of support for the students and working individuals at the University.
- Portal: The online platform for students to access and get all the reading material was most essential. It provided the recordings, notes, presentations of the lectures and all the schedules for private course related activities/events that were happening in and around the University.
Dislikes
- Campus accommodations fill up quite fast, so be quick and early to find an accommodation for yourself as close as possible to the lecture halls or wherever your courses are!
- Food in the canteen can be quite expensive
- Travelling is quite expensive, since the campus is right in the middle of the city.

Accommodation
- I used the university’s online platform for on campus accommodation in my first year.
- From my second year I took help from my friends and found new accommodation after having visited the site.
- £476 per month, facilities such as a common room, laundry, shared kitchen, co-ed bathrooms
- I started looking for the accommodation after I got my Visa and if I was any later then I would have not found an accommodation on campus that was affordable.
- Start early! The earlier the better and make sure to visit the place and have a word with the landlord about the utility bills.
- NG7, this was 7 or 8 miles away from the college campus.

Likes
- World class Faculty that comes with world class experience
- Classrooms with comfortable seating and well lit up atmosphere for projector screens
- Campus that is spread across the city center
Dislikes
- Limited support from Career support team
- Lack of balance between theoretical and practical teaching
- Few face to face webinars and more online lectures
Campus Life
- My Uni in Particular had 2 campuses, one being the city campus and the other one being the Clifton campus.
- City campus was my favorite because of it being located right in the heart of the city but infrastructure wise i felt the clifton campus was no less.
- The city campus had a student union for sports and facilities and it was very well built up, providing students a space to practice, learn and grow on their skills
Accommodation
- I chose an off campus student accommodation because of the pricing mostly, and also the facilities the student accommodation had, it was quite easily reachable from the University and vice versa making it an accessible accommodation and quite close to the city and my uni campus.
- The pricing of the on campus accommodation was slightly over priced compared to what I would pay staying at an off campus accommodation. Giving me a hand of both uni life and life outside uni.

Likes
- The course structure was very interesting, starting with a theorical lecture, followed by seminars with a small group of students where we shared our opinions of the topic, exposing us to different opinions of different cultures of people in one room
- Making studying quite interesting, The professors were all from different backgrounds and age groups all adding a different level of expertise in my coursework. The student life in nottingham was quite interesting with multiple events organised to
- Know different cultures, languages and people helping us getting out of our comfort zone and explore new things. The people in general were all very sweet and helpful, with no caste discrimination incidents or biases making it a safe place to stay
Dislikes
- The employability team was not quite helpful in securing a full time job in the fashion industry, which was very challenging to get a job there.
- Employability team was not helpful for my field
- Library was usually closed in summer holidays and this was during or final dissertation making it difficult for us to study
Campus Life
- My university has 3 campuses. My library is also one of the landmarks of Nottingham, making it very famous. It is easily accessible and has its own Starbucks, making it attractive to students. It also has its own GP services, and NTU Sports is one of the best programs in the UK. Mine was a city campus, which means it connected to the main attractions of the city.
Accommodation
- I found my accommodation on a website called "University Living". It was pretty straightforward and they gave me a virtual viewing, making it easier for me to book it in time.
- There are also installments in paying the accommodation fees that can ease some expenses for you during the initial days of settling in the country.
- I was too late in finding an on-campus accommodation, as that usually opens in March for a September intake course. They are usually cheaper but you have to be quick. Always find a place through a service as they are reliable rather than going with private agents to avoid issues in a new country.

Likes
- I like the way we have to take ownership and learn from scratch if you are changing country as the education system is different.
- Learned how research is done how important it is when it comes to education.
- I liked campus, cafe and events hosted by University.
Dislikes
- I disliked the teaching provided to me for my particular course. It is very difficult if you come from a different field. They will expect alot from you as you are masters student but when it comes to teaching to be honest it is a big zero. Hardly any lecturers were good. Will be a waste of money doing luxury fashion brand management as they hardly have any industry visits or any person coming from industry and teaching or sharing experience.
- Exposure needed to luxury industry is not there. I expected people from luxury industry will come share experience or will get to visit any company or something but none of it was been done. So basically for this course is a waste of money. As a master’s student and mainly the course is about management where in real nothing related to management withing luxury is been taught.
- You have to make your own contacts. So start making contacts as soon as possible.
Campus Life
- We have 3 campus. Everything is available in campus and accessible any time. Library is open 24/7 and rest best transport. Good food. Best in the UK for events.
- I studied at city campus. You need to make sure you follow instagram pages of university where all the events which will happen the next will will be shared via story so you keep updated. Also there is global lounge where you get the details of all the upcoming events and we have a seperate building for student which is student union you can find all the details of events happening over there. There will always be a board put for upcoming events in campus so people are aware of it.
- You can access gym on students discount and can take yearly membership at cheapest prices. Also be a part of various groups via instagram and also be a member of sports team and can access various sports and get all track of sports activity through sports app.
- All culture events are celebrated at NTU. We have music festivals, theatre festival, arts festivals. You will have to be part of all the community on their instagram page to keep a track of all events happening within the campus and univeristy.
- Univerity has their own buses which provide you free transport from one campus to another for the students.
Accommodation
I took private accomodation with people who I interacted before coming to the univerity. Go private as UNI accomodations are very costly. You have to pay a lot in UNI accomodation compared to private. I paid 130£ per week and book my accomodation via spare room app. It is very genuine where you can message which room you like and contact owner. We had a video tour on whatsapp before we book the apartment.
Also there is univerity website for accomodation where you can select the required accomodation and pay to the choosen accomodation via student campus platform.

- I like how we are made feel at home, we have great teachers and they support us at every point.
Dislikes
- But I think the job help could be better, especially for international students.
Campus Life
It's no doubt the best university in all these expects. We recently added two new colleges to our university out of which one was a new and upgraded business school. NTU is known for its lively campus events, including popular campus fests, clubs, and events. Not only this, the university provides excellent facilities across its campuses.
Accommodation
The GlassHouse - 600 Pounds per month including bills and utility. I had a shared accommodation with 5 people, we had our individual rooms and two bathrooms to share.
Likes
- Support from staff, placements, canteen, Sports activities, Academic support, Mental health team, Legal support
Campus Life
Make sure you choose a college with good faculty infrastructure and facilities that are well maintained. Events take place depending on the courses but several learning events are there.
Accommodation
I lived in student accommodation with good facilities and infrastructure it was in the campus itself and was way convenient and accessible with good wifi.
Likes
- I liked their international support team for whatever issues students face they respond to it.
Dislikes
- What I dislike is less placement support
Campus Life
We had 3 campuses each for different fields. Ntu is known for its freshers event which is around for 2 weeks and we have good infrastructure. As for sports, yes we can enroll into whichever extra curriculum we want to. Football- tennis or we can also book sessions to play which is interesting and for library I think it was great as we also had study rooms with computers to use and also had facilities to take laptops in case we lost ours.
Accommodation
I had a studio in the city centre near to the university. And it was £180 per week. And you have to pay a security deposit which also includes your 1-2 months' rent initially.

- I liked all the facilities and opportunities I got through the college. The staff were very friendly and supportive when required.
Campus Life
The campus life was wonderful, the library is so good and there are so many facilities from different kind of sports support to mental health support.
Accommodation
Accommodation is great but I stayed beside the college so It was a 5 min walk from home. The facilities and common areas were very good and it was a good opportunity to meet new people.
Likes
- Liked the culture. Liked the atmosphere and liked how the students learn here.
Dislikes
- Disappointed with the placements.
Campus Life
The extracurriculars were very well organised and hosted. It was really good to be a part of and was the best thing according to me in my Uni life. I had a great time!
Accommodation
My accommodations were state-of-the-art and were really close to campus. I could walk to my campus and wake up 20 minutes before class started. This was really good.

- After receiving the offer letter from multiple universities, I compared the ranking of the universities and ambience along with the advancement in practical knowledge
- So, here I am confused a little bit what should I include or what not. Everything here like people are very nice. The ambience is good which provides the facilities of Wi-Fi, sports club and gym as well.
Dislikes
- I loved the university very much, they don't have anything such students hate. They provide the best facilities in terms of everything.I might say that it is very expensive, which I hate.
Campus Life
Besides studies, there are many activities and clubs to which students can join and get very good exposure. Libraries are open 24/7 for everyone along with the Wi-Fi facilities which won't be able to disrupt the studies
Accommodation
It depends on individual to individual. Universities accommodations are more costly than private one. When I arrived, I didn't know anybody, so I booked the universities' accommodation, but all the facilities included Wi-Fi, utensils, cutlery, and blankets were provided by them. It costs around GBP 164.
