The principal aims of the programme are to:
- Develop a Systematic understanding of the tools and techniques of strategic accounting and financial management.
- Develop in students a critical understanding of the principal research traditions and research methods used in accountancy and financial management.
- Develop a critical awareness of the principles and techniques needed for effective strategic financial decision making.
- Apply knowledge and understanding of strategic accountancy and financial management to complex issues, both systematically and creatively, to improve business performance.
- Develop an in depth knowledge of contiguous disciplines such as accounting, business ethics, social responsibility and information systems
- Develop student’s ability to apply knowledge and a critical understanding by undertaking a research project in an area of accounting or financial management in the global business context (this applies only to those students that progress beyond the Diploma/Certificate and undertake a research project as part of a Masters qualification).
- Develop in students, a comprehensive understanding of research techniques applicable to accounting and financial management which will enable students to continue on to doctoral work should they so choose
- Enhance lifelong learning and transferable skills and personal development so as to be able to work with self-direction and originality and to contribute to business, the professions and society at large.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Completion of a 4 year degree with upper second class (55%) from a recognised University
- Completion of a 3 year bachelors degree with grades of 65% or above from a recognised University
- You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
- You’ll also need IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band (or equivalent) and also accept a range of other English language qualifications.
