Meeta Anand Dandekar Review at King's College London [KCL], London | Collegedunia

Believe it, Do it, Achieve it!

My university is known for the efficient and learned staff along with the unique body of researches conducted at the institute. It is known as the best for finance courses and industry exposure programmes. Hence, this was the main point that attracted me to select this university and gain profound knowledge.

Course Curriculum :

Yes, of course my curriculum was well updated with the latest and real-time knowledge. It covered areas in micro and macro economics including Government policies, economic indicators ,micro units price mechanism, monetary economics . Finance was very interesting covering the latest stock market and risk management techniques and concepts. This has helped way a lot to develop my skills in this domain and apply them in my future jobs. I have gained in-depth knowledge about the finance of a country, and the global economy at large.

Exams :

- IELTS-7- was the only requirement for my admission. Rest there was only an 8 to 10 CGPA requirement for my BA. - Grade 10th- 94%, Grade 12th -87%, Savitribai Phule Pune University- BA ECONOMICS- 92%, PG- still pursuing-expected - first class. - Yes, I had to submit LORs and SOPs. The major points in LORs are the consent and belief of your earlier staff and mentors in you. This document is to confirm if the student is capable of conducting the extensive study and completing it. SOPs are required to know the knowledge of the pupil about the institution he or she is going to attend and have done thorough research on it. This is mainly to know if the student is well prepared to come to the university taking into consideration all the pros and cons.

Placement :

Companies are - PWC, Barclays, Mazars, Deloitte. Many alumni are working in these institutions with successful careers and the median salaries offered are - 37000 pounds per year.

Fees :

33000 pounds per year

Faculty :

The one person that I admire the most is Prof Leone Leonida. He was my finance professor at the university. He is an utmost inspiring personality with profound knowledge of finance with 30 years of experience in this field. Every concept he takes is made clear through live examples and very intellectual discussions. He is a true mentor who just doesn't teach but helps to develop as a good human. Real-time examples are the best and his favourite which makes it easy to understand. The faculty student ratio is 1:5. All the staff is well learned and experienced and confident enough to run the programme.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of extra curricular activities going on in the college relating to personality development, finance, psychology, engineering, data science etc. These help to connect the students on a large scale and improve the integrity of the organization at large. I remember a very informative session with one of the Bank of England's current members who drove us through the profound range of activities needed to run a country taking into consideration all the other factors like economics, politics, etc.

Hostel :

Urbanest City Student Accommodation - 262 per week.Good student accommodation with excellent amenities and facilities and most important safety measures.
