Remarks :
Our college was good with academics and our faculty was great but the unfamiliar ways of behavior towards several things were very unacceptable. Like, girls weren't allowed to wear capries or boys and girls weren't allowed to stand and talk, it was taken as something wrong. This waS very stupid and very narrow minded. People were specially made to stand on doors so that they could separate women and men.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum was huge and very tiring. We had continuous classes from 9 to 4. Without a break. Practical labs were tiring and then so were our huge lectures. ChemiStry was amazing to deal with and physics practicals were interesting but maths made us struggle.
Placement Experience :
No, internship doesn't happen in our college as far as I know because hardly any research papers are written in the college. Also, about placements, yes few companies did come to our college for small opportunities in Bangalore, many of my co mates took the job opportunity but I didn't even apply for it knowing that it ain't gonna be that good if we have to survive. It's just okay to have as a hobby job.
College Events :
Basically, our college always focuses on academics. All the events regarding them being quizzes or seminars happen everyday. But the events other than studies never took place except youth festival. Only this is the event where children were able to showcase their amazing skills. Our college was known for debate, dances and backstage activities.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Yeah, fee structure is very feasible. Mine was 20,000 per year, approximately. It was easy to manage this for most of the students being the education good at our end. But the other fees being exam fees and vechile fees and library fees, these things added up the bill, rest it was very much near to 20 grand.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Well, about loan, I never came across anyone who could do anything with loan but yes, I've seen children from poor families been taken care of by our scholarships. A lot of girls and boys were benefitted due to our academic scholarship system. The girls who don't have any male sibLing or the students who had an incredible attendance were given a lot of credits.
Campus Life :
As I told you, academics is the zone they concentrate most on. Other than that, only sports was the region where you could see children excelling in. Activities never happened. Neither did our college had any president or such so, we were always having issues with the all time study thing but nothing could have done for that anyway. Sports was good, we affiliated archery, running, long and high jump ,disc throw etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is no such network of the college for meeting of alumini anyway. It's useless because every new semester, something new comes up and new things are taken care of. Anyway, the connections are least with our seniors as I told you, we never had time to engage with anyone in our college.
Admission :
So, it happens very normally, you've to fill the form along with your details and get it submitted. There is a day for the conference After which there is a huge line of children where they check the authenticity of the papers you've submitted and ask for deposit of money.
Faculty :
Our faculty is known to be the best in Punjab university from which the college is affiliated. Our head of departments are one of the most intelligent ones. They are very experienced and very friendly. They help you with all they can. From books to practicals, they help you through every thick and thin.
