I love my course but i hate my college but also i love my college

Remarks :

Positive remark is we are getting to go to the postings so what we learnt in theory we can apply practically on patients with the guidance of the department head. There is a lot of things to learn. There is no ending it's vast. Negative thing according to me, nothing happens here in a systematic manner like surprisingly datesheet is coming out 2 days before the internal examination , no one ever knows when will the results come out of the academic session.

Course Curriculum Overview :

According to me, curriculum is fine. I have no issues with that but initially i had difficulty in understanding what my course actually is. In the entrance exam there are 4sections i.e. physics, chemistry, biology and english 50marks each maybe. 1 score for 1correct answer and there is negative marking.

Placement Experience :

Yes, my college provide internship and stipend also. Placements and job opportunities are there. I don't know much for now because i am in third year. But my seniors told me about there experiences and they are happy with their jobs.

College Events :

We only celebrate freshers, farewell, Saraswati pooja, sports day, physiotherapy day and occupational therapy day. I wish we'd have college fests like other colleges of DU and the events we are celebrating there are a lot difficulties in organising them.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee can be paid in cash or by cheque , net banking or drafts. It's not expensive i think it is reasonable for course like physiotherapy and occupational therapy if i compare this with other institutes.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am not aware about any scholarship/ loan facility offered by my institute. if there is any scholarship present for students i would like to take that opportunity for my further studies in this field.

Campus Life :

There are not so many extracurricular activities. Labs are good, for sports we have a badminton court and half basketball court only which are fine and we don't have a big campus. I think the problem is of space.

Alumni/Alumna :

Senior students are helpful. They help me with anything i ask them for. Mostly in the postings. There guidance and experiences teaches us a lot of things like what we should do or shouldn't do. There is a good, strong bonding in between seniors and juniors and that's really a nice thing.

Admission :

I had given entrance exam in 2016 then the results of that entrance examination came out after 2-3weeks i got 29 rank so the institute sent me the counseling letter then in counseling i had to carry all my marksheets, documents and fees of that academic session and choose a course of my choice and thats how it all began.

Faculty :

To be honest i admire only 2-3 teachers and for rest of the teachers, i attend classes for attendance only. We have to study by ourselves because class mein aake bs slides chlana projector pe pdayi nhi hoti, aadhi class so rhi hoti h kyuki dhangse koi pdaye tbhi interest leke hm bhi sune.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course (Bsc medical imaging technology) is a very good course and provide great opportunities around the world. The curriculum nicely prepares us for the real world by providing us hospital visits and interaction with patients to deal with in the future. Internal exams occurs every month and has good duration between exams and gives us time to prepare

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm basically from a medical background and the labs and all practical works fascinated me from the very beginning. I am always been fond to work in the healthcare field and helping out everyone from pain, sickness, trauma, and emergencies. As lab technologists, we are the backbone of all the diagnosis, prognosis, and line of treatment of any microbial, pathological and biochemical findings. The ratio of our batch in terms of faculty and students is pretty good like 1:1 or even more towards the faculty side. There are a huge no. of senior resident doctors who are assigned to us for a single expertise subject. Each and every faculty are MD or MS and some are super-specialists as well in the medical field. The teaching method is pretty much good with good infrastructure, LTs, Laboratories, museums, smart classrooms for Demos. For exams, there are two internal exams at the College level and an annual final exam at GGSIPU. 25% of internal and 75% of the external exam is considered as evaluation criteria for marks.
