There are a lot of good things that happened in college which made us learn. The college provides a lot of provisions and extends lot of favours if the student is studious and has no backlogs however when the student is not able to clear his papers and do

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum is very standard and is fixed by Anna University. It is a little bit tougher compared to the Deemed universities. The course structure pushes the student to seek and learn from lot of outside books as well and making use of library.

Internships Opportunities :

I had not taken any internship during the college however certain students did a 1 month internship in some IT organization and was enlightened about the IT operations and environment.

Placement Experience :

Placements were a little dull in our final year where around 50% of the students got placed in various companies through On campus and Off campus. Companies which came are Wipro,HCL,Syntel NG Connectivity and Anna University had added companies like Infosys,TCS,CTS,Polaris. The salaries offered were on Average of 2.8 LPA. Big IT companies offered a salary of 3.0 LPA to 3.6 LPA.

College Events :

College had tech day for every department,Cultural,Annual day,Bus day Founder's day. Annual day is the biggest and parents are invited. Other festivals are for fun and for recognizing talented individuals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are fees waivers and are available at the time of admission based on the higher secondary marks obtained. Loans are available from all leading banks.

Campus Life :

The major plus point is the gender ratio which is 50-50% between boys and girls. No parties as such inside college premises. A multitude of workshops and competitions to always keep a student engaged in something or the other. Sports are also pretty much encouraged with both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Lots of workshops for cracking interviews,competitive exams and improvising self skills.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are seperate for Boys and Girls and the facilities are quite good. Usually 2 students share a room and a yearly rent is collected for the same from students of about 20,000 rupees from students. Hostel is sufficient in capacity to hold students.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni networks exists over social media largely and connect is maintained. Connection with seniors before joining college gave us idea of our future and helped us prepare ourselves. Also these networks helps us in our career prospects.

Faculty :

The faculty is extremely cooperative and knowledgeable around the topics of study focus and will be always available to clarify doubts both online (during class hours) and offline ( outside class hours).

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
