Remarks :
Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University is the best University in the North-East, for Distance learning. Their sheer dedication to teaching is amazing. I would highly recommend this University for every degree or diploma course. Especially for the one year Mass Communication program which I did. I completed my diploma last year and now I am working as a freelancer in my hometown, all thanks to KKHSOU.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Diploma course covered all the topics which someone as a student would like to study. After completion of these courses, the learners will be able to pursue different media jobs or can even pursue higher studies in the field of Mass Communication. The video lectures and doubt clearing sessions were really helpful.
College Events :
The annual day was celebrated to recognize the students and the faculty members for their exceptional work in their respective fields.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
My first-year annual fee for DCHN was 9,000 Rs. Apart from the annual fee, there is an additional exam fee and mark sheet fee which varies from program to program. The fee structure was fine by me. We were also provided video lectures and subject-related journals.
Campus Life :
The Central Library is the heart of the KKHSOU, where you can find all sorts of academic journals, research papers, and other reading materials. Apart from that, there are many books related to the course material. The students and the teachers created a healthy atmosphere which gave me all the more reason to advocate KKHSOU. Students can register for any of the study centers spread across the state of Assam.
Exam Structure :
The University conducts a term-end examination once for the Odd Semesters and once for the Even Semesters in a year. The home assignment marks must be filled out of 20 (for full paper i.e. theory paper of 80 marks) and out of 10 (for half paper i.e. theory paper of 40 marks).
Admission :
The admission process was quite simple. I applied for the Diploma through online mode. I filled the online form, uploaded the documents and paid the program fee through bank challan.
Faculty :
We had one of the best faculty members in the North-East. These faculty members even helped us, outside of the campus. They all had relevant experience in their niche which they shared with us from time to time.
