Remarks :

Many improvements need still now. Campus is not well maintained. Very dusty campus. Bathroom is not very well. Some staffs are very bad for students. Other is all okay. Libraries can be formed better.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have completed my B.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering. The exam process is divided via semester. There are total 8 semester of 4yrs course. As per WBUT syllabus exams are held. There are practical & theroy exam.

Placement Experience :

Placement is not too much well. TPO try hard to place all student. But according to market there are not too much vacant for these huge student. So maximum student have to find their placement by themself.

College Events :

Events celebrated too much pritily. There are lots of cultural programs is celebrated. Faculty and student both take part on that event. Thus event is celebrated very pleasantly. We enjoyed it too much.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. Atfirst we have to pay 42000 as admission fee. Then 25000 per semester. As per government rule exam fees is different from semester fees. If u see others college then it is not too expensive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I take loan from Allahabad Bank, Belgram Branch. College give me bonafide certificate that ensure I am a student of that college with the fees structure that I want to take as loan. I dont know if anything cam be availed via college.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities are mainly interested by the student. Staffs help as their ability. Labs are very well maintained. Lab staffs are very polite and helpful. Some negligence on sport I have noticed.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are maximum well behaved. They treat juniors as their brother. No ragging. Full college campus is ragging free. Seniors help on everything. They guide too much well. Alumni network is not too much well.

Admission :

Atfirst I have to give an exam called JELET. Then a merit ranking is listed. Through an online counseling according to my JELET merit ranking. Then choose college as per my rank & take admission to the college.

Faculty :

They are very helpfull. Not all. Some faculty are very rude. But maximum numbers are very helpfull & polite. They always want to suggest as best as we can take. Although they are okay as a student require.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
