Remarks :

Though the college has developed a little bit over the years it has to make a large changes to support the students's future in terms of placement. Definitely if there is good placement and good quality of education there will be good output.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I did my B.E mechanical engineering in the college. The course duration is 4 years which consists of 8 semester @ 2 semester per year each semester has 8 papers except the last 2 semester. The candidate hast to get a minimum 'E' grade to clear the exams or else they have to appear in the next semester exam.

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities are less when I was studying but they have improved a lot over the past years which I heard from the Juniors as well as from the official pages of the college inorder to increase the quality of college

College Events :

The college conducts fresher day, annual meet and sports day every year and also graduation day for the graduates who complete their graduation in the college. It also conducts symposium where events are conducted and prizes are given to other college students also. Special events are conducted for hostellers and more over guest lectures also happen frequently

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees structure is feasible for certain category of students but the transport charges and food charges for hostellers are high compared to the distance and quality provided. The fees for those who joined via Anna University counselling is also less.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides scholarship as per Anna University norms for those who join via counselling but for those who join via management quota there is a certain category of caste for whom they provide sholarships other than that anyone can avail bank loans for paying fees.

Campus Life :

The lab facilities and sports where less when I was studying because the college was just at the beginning stages when I completed my college the facilities was better than when I joined and now when I went there for some personal reasons the college's look is completely different and they have given excellent changeover to attract students in terms of infrastructure, labs , sports , canteen etc.,

Alumni/Alumna :

No, the alumni network was quite low key just a year back they arranged for the 1st alumni but due to lack of promotion and time it dint reach a large amount of people which resulted in poor strength of students attending the event. The management has to improve the alumni network when they are planning for it in the future

Admission :

Applied for counselling in Anna University, Guindy where they provide colleges based on your cut off marks among the given set of colleges I had to choose college based on my preference and I chose the college based on the given options

Faculty :

The faculty is a mix of both experienced and freshers. Each one of them is unique in there own way the experienced staffs has good knowledge about the subject and a good exposure about questions and pattern asked in exams.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
