  • The study pattern could be made more engaging and field interaction could be increased especially for this course.
  • Placement drive is quite impressive but there's room for improvement

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum for this course is quite relevant and accurate at that. It provides you a deep insight in the working of any kind of organisation be it private or government and how and what affects it's working. When seen from the research perspective, it is the best field to embark into because it is interlinked and highly relevant in real world. The quality of classes and teaching practices however could be greatly improvised. Adding more of the practical elements - field engagement, surveys, research, on the ground studies; would be helpful for students

Internships Opportunities :

A wide array of public and private companies and organisations reach out to provide for internships. In this course, the positions offered are varied, in HR, content creation, report writing, managerial posts, accounting works, research and creation is most prevalent. Companies like Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, University of Delhi, etc provide opportunities.

Placement Experience :

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Yearly fees for a 4 year course would be around 15000/- per year on an average. There are numerous scholarships available on the basis of domicile, caste, merit and income. A separate fee concession committee is there for economically challenged students as well as facilities to provide for books and resources are also available. Exam fee is another regular payment which varies from 800 to 1500 rupees.

Campus Life :

Annual fests such as Ecom, Poliforum, and other departmental fests are great events to atend. Seasonal festivals such as Diwali fair, Holi celebration, other fairs, entrepreneurial mela etc are main attractions too. Numerous societies and clubs are present and are quite active in competitions events workshops and daily engagement. They have a positive impact on the holistic development of students.

Admission :

The admission process is quite easy you give the respective exam (here, CUET) once you clear the cut off, you'll get college seat accordingly. You can weigh your options and opt for the best suited. The process after that is streamlined, you just need to pay the fee confirm the registration and appear in the college with the required documents (which are pretty basic i.e. photo id, marksheets, etc.)

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is good and they're quite helpful and easily reachable. They're helpful at each step whether it is studies or something personal you can always reach out to them. Exam pattern is quite general there's this system of continuous assessment which includes class tests and regular presentations. Exams are semester wise and the scoring is done according - 1 year = 2 semesters = 2 sgpa = average yearly cgpa

Night Life :

The college has nearest establishment that is Satya niketan which is an okayish place to hang out after college with friends. It has cafes and parks and hostels and pgs. The area nearby is abundant with sports clubs and lobhi area is there for recreational activities, gyms are easily available with flexible timings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had studied commerce in my 12th so I want to pursue my career in that field that's why I chose this course The curriculum prepares us by giving us real life case studies, presentation in class which helps a lot to prepare for real world applications I don't think their is any area for improvement because year by year they are increasing difficulty level which is good and beneficiary for us in future Exams held generally in December - January and June - July , they give us good preparation holidays before exam as well

The college provides placements in various types of big companies. The company persons visit the college to the students who are going to get graduated in the year and take their interview. For impressing them you should score high cgpa out of 10 let's say 8-10 will be better rather than that you should also have a lot of skills, knowledge, experience, expertise,a brilliant resume,CV which you have gained in your past college years. Then you will get the placement through the college. The pay for placement will be very good like from 8L/p.a. to 10L/p.a.

Placement Experience:

there is a scope of placement in Hansraj college. I am currently working in the placement cell of hansraj college and the average LPA of our college is 7-8 LPA which is decent most of the placements are for economics and commerce students the highest package from our college was 23 LPA so although there is a possibilty of placement and if not then the alumni network of hansraj helps and all the connections you made in the college helps to get a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the BA English honours curriculum at DU SOL as quite comprehensive and relevant specially for students interested in literature and language. The course covers a wide range of literary period genres and critical theories which helps build a strong foundation in English studies, however at times the material can feel a bit outdated or digit and more contemporary text or modern pedagogical approaches could be included. Overall it's a solid curriculum that prepares you will for further studies or a career in writing teaching or media.
