- Most of the classes which are provided to us are in regular colleges have professors from Delhi University, due to which the studies are good.
- The checking is not very complex due to which the student can pass well as per his studies.
Dislikes
- Normally the behaviour of the staff is not good, whether it is a centre or an office
- The admit card is issued only 15 days in advance due to which it has many errors and the student wastes 4-5 days in correcting them.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Due to my interest in Accountancy subject, I chose this course instead of B.Com program. Besides, this course provides more knowledge in real life than the program course. Subjects like accounting standards and SM have proven to be very important in the real life world. If someone has opted for B.Com Honors then according to the difficulty level, for normal student this is medium difficulty level, otherwise it varies from student to student
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our yearly fee is Rs 9220 which includes everything. The fee charged in the name of tuition fee covers only 15 classes which are held in regular colleges of Delhi University. This fees is much bigger than other colleges and the facilities are completely opposite to them. After every semester our study centers change and hence our batchmates also change Only one financial support scheme is run by this college which is very difficult. The site is always crashing. Apart from this, there are many glitches in the site. I also tried once to fill the form but due to technical error i were never successful.
Campus Life :
There is no specific Fest or program in the School of Open Learning, Delhi University. If there is, then the student is informed two-three days in advance through SMS and if the student wishes to visit,So the facilities for students are less as much as the facilities for teachers are more. Apart from this, there is no such support, any club or any election like thing here.
Admission :
Because I am doing a C.A. course, I wanted to do college through distance mode, that is why I chose this college, apart from this I did not apply to any other college. Although there is no requirement of any test or certificate to take admission, you should only have passed 12th class, apart from this there is a minimum passing percentage which is different The passing percentage in my course is 55% with commence
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio in the class is very bad. There is a class for one course in the centre. There are 40 to 50 students and only one teacher in a class. Sometimes the number of children increases so much that they do not get place to sit in the class and their coming becomes useless. The faculty changes after 15 classes with the college, that is why we neither know the faculty by name nor are able to identify them
Night Life :
Although there is no gym run by the college, but if you want a gym, there are many private gyms in the campus If you are studying through distance then you do not need a hostel anyway, but if you want to study in a hostel then you will find many hostels in the campus. If your study centre is in an area like North Campus or South Campus, then there are many good places to visit and eat and you can enjoy it as per your convenience.
