- Campus is very beautiful and lush green.Campus Size is very large, students do not need to go out if they wanna explore, they just can travel inside the campus, and enjoy the beautiful view.
- Sports Complex is also very large, in includes badminton court, football ground, cricket and hockey ground. Some indoor games are also included (like table tennis).
Dislikes
- The campus is not in the city area ie it is in slightly remote area, so students have to travel alot if they wanna do shooping or explore market.
- Medical Facilities are not good.Hospitals should have more staff and also they should treat students properly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am interested in IT and semiconductor industry, therefore i want only Computer Science , Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Branches. And in councelling i got Electronics and Communication Branch in National Institute Of Technology Agartala. The Main motivation to study hard in electronic branches is, the developing semiconductor industry in india. The Academic Curriculum of this college, particularly in circuital branches in very nicely designed. It has so many labs so that a student will have a great knowledge of core equipment and it will make them Industry Ready.
Internships Opportunities :
Student performing well in college are offered internship form 3rd year. Texus instrument, Microsoft, Oracle are some famous companies which offers internship to students. The project work of college increase the chance of getting a internship because the student who have done many project will have a great knowledge of their fied or department.
Placement Experience :
Placement of this college is very good. Median packages of CSE and ECE department is approximately 10 lakh rupees. Students doing good in college also get placement in the Companies like Google, Microsoft, Texus Instruments, Oracle etc which are considered to be the dream company of students. Student who have passes 6th semester are eligible for campus placements. The Highest Placement of CSE and ECE is 52 LPA. And the Highest Pre Placement Offer was 64 LPA. Overall approximately 90% student of CSE and ECE department get placed. My plans after getting a degree is to do a Job in a good Company or prepare for gate to pursue Mtech from IIT.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The overall fees structure is approximately 8.5 lakhs rupees including tuition fees, hostel fees and mess fees.Yearly Tuition fees is approximately 68 Thousands to 72 thousands per semester (varies according to odd and even semester) and 36 thousand rupees. Total yearly fees is 2.1 lakh rupees approximately. It is mentioned in the fees structure of college that fees may increase slightly in future. There is full tuition fees waiver for SC/ST /PWD students and students having family income less than 1 lakh. And there is one third tuition fees waiver for student having family income between 1 to 5 lakh. Scholarship like NSP and FFE are also available for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and Economically weak students. The amount of scholarship depends on their records of 10th ,12th class, JEE Ranks and alson on their family Income. Shortlisting is done by Aptitude tests.
Campus Life :
My overall experience is very good. This college have a great campus life. There are many clubs which a student can join including the social clubs (Think India Club and We Can club) The infrastructure of college as well as hostel is very good, they are well managed, but the outer looks of building are not maintained. Students get access to the books of the library. The library is open during the college time and after college time till night. There is a high sports Complex in NIT Agartala. This include cricket, football, hockey ground as well as badminton and tennis court. All the clubs are managed by group of student themselves.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Facility of Ist year boys hostel is very good. They are well managed. Double bed room is provided to each student ie two students share room in first year and from second year single room is given. Meal quality is descent. Menu has mainly paneer, soyabeen, rajma, aloo as curry bcoz here is the lack of green vegetable because of the unsupportable climate and soil. Registration process of hostel is along with the admission in college. And it is affordable.
Admission :
My Main Aim was to get admission in the institutions from all IITs. NITs and IIITs because they are Institute of national importance. They are considered as best Institute in india and they actually are. One of the NITs are NIT Agartala, a great campus life, good placement percentage , and a great alumini network. The Admission process is done by Jossa and Csab councelling in the basis of Jee Mains Ranks. The Cutoff for my branch was about 97 percentile for a general (gender neutral) candidates.
Faculty :
I cant say anything about the faculty to students ratio because i dont know the exact numbers of teachers in the particular departments. The relationship between the teachers and the student is good, they are easily approachable. If problem of student is genuine then teacher will definitely help the student regardless of the time. Chemistry teacher (Dr.Manas Roy Choudhary) is very good.They tought with high dedication, and student also pay attention in their class as they develop interest towards the subject. Till now, our mid semester examination are over. The level of difficulty was moderate. almost all students passed the examination. Mainly experimental question are asked which encourage the student to gain practical knowledge and think out of the box.
Night Life :
The Night life of Boys hostel are very chill, boys are allowed in night to explore in the whole campus. As this is in Tripura, ie North East, so every place in the college campus feels like a picnic spot. There are gym in the sports Complex which ic accessible to all the students. Cafe are also there, but they are full by couple only so a single person cant survive there . The locality is safe for roaming in nights, the only thing which i dont like is that the auto and cab driver overcharge during Night.
