Dislikes

  • The staffs sometimes don’t respect NRI people that much and sometimes fail to treat them with respect
  • People are not given enough chance to stand out inside the college in intra college events

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I like business and proprietorship and I felt this course being corporate secretaryship can teach me a lot about management and business The curriculum pretty much offers a decent set of skill and knowledge to go out and survive in the real world and get a grip on our own because of the external events the college provides us with The classes could get a bit more practical rather than doing paper assignments and theory classes which is obviously boring for most population of the students We have exams every 2 months (not accurate) but it's not hard as we have our notes and prepare well for it

Internships Opportunities :

They require us to go out in search of internships which are basically a good degree for campus training and I don't have much idea about the internship because I'm in 1st year of my college and also I am yet to learn about it

Placement Experience :

The 5th semester makes the students eligible for campus recruitment and then they often have campus recruitment from the month of November to may Pretty much VIPRO , KALIMARK and many other more MNC companies and much more visit the college for recruitment basis Most students don't opt for placements because they want to do a PG course but I would say 65% of people going for placements get one job or the other I plan on doing a PG as well

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are a total of two semesters each year and each semester costs 55,000 INR as tuition fee and there is additional fee of books in the beginning of each and every year When there are other courses that cost around 67000INR per semester as those courses have more specialised training and placement programmes for eg : BCOM IB as it comprises of international business curriculum

Campus Life :

There aren't much cultural events in the college we have FACE TO FACE then to there and then we have ethnic days and sometimes we have some cultural events There are two main libraries in the college one being the underground one and the other being SCIB one There is a basket ball ground and students can come there after 3:00 and play if they want and also every year they conduct SCIB liga for commerce and futsal for other departments There are rotaract clubs and students must do social initiative to complete the degree and this impacts every individual in their own manner

Admission :

I only applied here because I know GRD college since my childhood and this college is known for its enjoyment and liberty to students so I pretty much applied only here and got here I applied online and then came to the college met with the director and got my seat approved by him and then paid the fees before the classes began and here I am

Faculty :

The faculties are not that smart when it comes to teaching but they sure can handle the mass of students and also some teachers are very kind and they even have little gossip sessions with the students and pretty much very friendly faculty My favourite teacher is my accounts teacher VANI mam we call her DV she's so sweet and she never doubts me as she believes I can study and she can take care of my own job My least favourite can be my tutor KS (K.Senthil) he's not that great with students he always says stuff that can irritate students and he never answers any of my doubts when he's taking classes We have 3 exams before our finals being 2 model exams and 1 MCQ these add to our internals and if we're pretty thorough with everything it's pretty easy

Night Life :

I stay at home so I don't have much idea about the nightlife around the college but I'm pretty sure it's fun because the college closes by 5:00 or maximum 6:00 and then it just goes silent People tend to hang out somewhere else after college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) due to the core subjects are very much related to the subject of accounting and finance so that i can concentrate on my core ones. Other than this there are Bachelor of Commerce (Computer applications) and Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Secretaryship) which is been newly added in the current academic year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency and timings of exams my perspective is depends upon the person studied but all staff are very motivating the students and helping for the internship. Difficulty level is you study a lot means decrease the difficulties but you not studied means increase difficulty

Personally I like the examination process that we write for 3 hours of exam that will be a challenge for the students but the students will definitely get good question papers from the college and without any leak of the question paper.
