Course Curriculum Overview :

My course was English and according to that I had to read literature, aspects of language, novels of many authors and I was very interested in reading them. For improvement, I want that if notes are also provided along with the lectures, it would be of great help.

Class Size : 54Course Fees : INR 14000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My yearly college fees were approx. 14000 and there was also examination fees which was around Rs 2000. There was a difference of at least Rs 500 in the fees of students of different categories. There were also scholarships for students in our college.

Campus Life :

The experience is quite good and I was able to explore a lot of the societies in the college as per the extra curriculum and I was more interested in singing so I participated in that. There were many societies for art, dance, and sports, and there was a lot of entertainment as well.

Admission :

I was getting this college according to my percentage and overall cut off and it was near my house and its location was also nearby. If I compare it with other colleges, this is a government college and it also has value, so this college is better and its fee structure is also good.

Faculty :

I like the English department a lot, the professors were very cooperative, our exams were conducted semester wise and I used to get good marks in my exams because I got a lot of benefits from the lectures.

Night Life :

Gym, cafes and restaurants are near the college and we can go for hangout anytime. The college hostel is also fine. Most of the time we used to go to cafes for hangout.I really liked eating there. I also tried the shakes, they are also very delicious.

Maitreyi College is Underrated, A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

The course curriculum is not updated . Teachers uses old method of teaching on pen and paper. Like in statistics now various tools are available in market and instead of making us learn those tools teachers are teaching the most basic things on pen and paper.But the course is very demanding nowadays.

Good and bad's of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.

Life as a student in DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) i had interest in history from my class 11th. I wanted to further increase my knowledge ane thus accepted my course 2) the course not only prepares u to give exams but actualy leads u to study many papers, books that expands your understanding of the course and also real life challneges where u have to apply it. It also prepares you for further academic pursuits 3) they can opt for more practical learning apart from classroom learning, they can make field trips and let student know about research also 4) the end exams start after 4-5 months of sem start. U are given well enough time to prepare gradually. The assignments, test can make it hectic but if u complete the given work in time, u can prepare well enough for the exams and do well.
