The teaching staff of the college is very well qualified and they behave very nicely with the students
There is a Gurudwara in college for worship. It's a very holy place for providing peace to the students

For sports student there is a small playground in the college which I never liked

Course Curriculum Overview :

Well, I want to prepare for civils so I opted for this course (B.A. hons. Pol sci). They gave us reality checks through assignment, session and other activities. There need to be outer exposure for students who opt for this course. There exams are set at medium level so that all the students can pass the exams.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 17500 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee keep on increasing every year. In 2021 it was 17000 something but now it has increased to 21000 something amount but one can go for fee concession and scholarship process. There is also concession for sikh minority.

Campus Life :

There is always a college fest Saarang which is held in the month of February or March which students enjoy the most. Every festival is celebrated in the college and many departmental fests are organised by the departments. There are books in the library alongwith the ejournals which hepls students to find any book available online. There is also a e-source of books for students. Many students are involved in many societies and activities outside the college like startups and all.

Admission :

This college is in north camspus. It's location is very strategic. There are officiall buildings all around the college. It is near to railway station alongwith metro station. I did not ge rejection from any other colleges because I applied only for this college. The process of admission is online. First one have to clear CUET exam and on the basis of this exams seats are allocated to students.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is very supportive. We get 5 marks in each subject for full attendence and and the mating pattern is divided between internal and external exams. Almost all the students manage to pass the exams . There are a very few students who fail in exams.

Maitreyi College is Underrated, A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

The course curriculum is not updated . Teachers uses old method of teaching on pen and paper. Like in statistics now various tools are available in market and instead of making us learn those tools teachers are teaching the most basic things on pen and paper.But the course is very demanding nowadays.

Good and bad's of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.

Life as a student in DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) i had interest in history from my class 11th. I wanted to further increase my knowledge ane thus accepted my course 2) the course not only prepares u to give exams but actualy leads u to study many papers, books that expands your understanding of the course and also real life challneges where u have to apply it. It also prepares you for further academic pursuits 3) they can opt for more practical learning apart from classroom learning, they can make field trips and let student know about research also 4) the end exams start after 4-5 months of sem start. U are given well enough time to prepare gradually. The assignments, test can make it hectic but if u complete the given work in time, u can prepare well enough for the exams and do well.
