TNU review

Dislikes

  • The campus is big but it's a low land and water logging is common whenever it rains
  • The classrooms don't have AC but the library does

Course Curriculum Overview :

Ai is in demand that's why I chose this course In future almost every thing will be integrated with ai, the frequency of exam was mentioned in the previous tab and the difficulty level is pretty good for a 1st sem student ????

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The per semester fees is 63000 inr which includes tuition fees of 41000 and other charges that amounts too 22000 At the time of admission a one time payment of 29000 inr is taken from the students This includes admission processing fee of 10000 and security deposit fee of 10000(refundable), 1000 as alumni association subscription, 3000 as development fee and 5000 as university registration fees The amounts may be less for sc st and OBC categories the above mentioned is for general category For the scholarship the university offers 8 scholarships in which 7 of them provide 25 to 50 % of deduction in tuition fees and the last one provides upto 100% deduction They provide different scholarship for people coming from the villages ,hilly areas and even one for the siblings of the passout students

Campus Life :

There are a lots of clubs including sports , technical, culinary, art, drama, public speaking and many more and every two months one or other club organises a event The library is big and we'll equipped with books and journals The classrooms have projectors which are used while teaching and not only for show Sports tournaments are also held here and students can choose an additional subject as general elective subject per semester which includes gardening, finance, digital marketing, photography, entrepreneurship

Admission :

I contacted various colleges across kolkata but there was always a problem. My marks were less and the direct admission method required a good amount of money, also some denied giving me CSE and at the end when I applied in TNU I got a seat. Overall admission process experience was good for me didnot have to visit the office much Eligibility criteria is 60% in pcm aggregate they also take students from wbjee exams and jee mains results

Faculty :

Faculty to student relationship is good the faculties are friendly and help us whenever approached There are two minor test per odd semester and 1 semester exam per semester according to which the overall marks are calculated

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well developed and the major areas of learning are adequately addressed. It has prepared students for practice as well as for further education. I wanted to point at such aspects of teaching design that need to be developed : offerings of practical projects and a greater focus on interactive teaching methods. Exams are scheduledd but may prove to need extra assistane for comprehension of some of the contents.

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible at 3rd year 6th sem. Though before that you can do internship or freelancing which will increase the weight of your profile. The percentage of student getting placement is around 60-70% and the average package is around 4-5lakhs per annum. The highest package got by a student previous year was around ?10lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.
