- College library is good, neat and huge, it has many books in diverse subjects and also has computers in it.
- All admin process is very smooth and fast, University has very structured system and management.
Dislikes
- Staff is not good in delivering content. They hire freshers as faculties.
- Situated in rural area, nearest city is bardoli, which is 6 km away. Surat is 44 km away.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is well updated and includes practicla subjects as web and Android devlopment. Also. Last three semesters mainly focus on ML, Blockchain and iot. Course has well balance between base and application. Many subject has compulsory project part to encourage students for apply what they learn. After my graduation this year, college again updated it's syllabus and removed unnecessary subjects such as civil and mechanical engg part. I don't think curriculum needs any improvement right now. Exams are not that much difficult if student prepare whatever they learn in class and reads previous year papers. Student is expected to give mini exam In gap of 1.5 months and final one after 4.5 moths of semester starting.
Internships Opportunities :
College do not provide help with 2 month summer internship, but if student do not get internship, college help them using their connection with companies. However, the final semester is 6 month internship, which is part of placement procedure which is provided by college. And all companies give stipend to students.
Placement Experience :
Overall, placements are not that much good right now. Although I got good offer from fintach company from my college, others were suffering to get minimal pay jobs. Students from 7th semester are eligible for placements. There are many companies which come to college namely, tcs, dhiwise, nj India invest, wipro and other Surat and ahmadabad based service based companies. In Which dhiwise offered 9lpa package which was highst and NJ offered 6 lpa(I got selected in this company) which was second highest. Placement statistics say 100 percent students got placed, which is true, but majority of students are not satisfied with what they got. I want to pursue my masters from abroad in next year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
While applying student have to pay 20,000 as seat booking fees. 12000 for books. And semster fees for b tech CE is 42000(around 85000 per year). But I was tuition fees wavier student and all of my fees was waived off by government of Gujarat. Every one in ten students in Gujarat gets this opportunity. University also have scholarship for economically weak students, but chances of getting this is very rear. You can eat mess food every afternoon by paying 50 rupees per plate. Fees is stable and increment is very slow in fees, as a new college is established under the same University.
Campus Life :
I am very introvert person, so I haven't attended any social events. But collage organises many social and competitive events and students take part in that events actively. Library contains all subject related and gk books and it is best thing I can say about my college. Library also contains some megazins and newspaper. All classrooms has fans, lights, proper ventilation and projector screens. There is one gdsc club and blocksec ai club for students, both are run by students with help of faculties. But students do not show that much interest in such groups.
Admission :
I applied in 4 colleges namely, msu vadodara, scet Surat, cgpit bardoli, and cl pithawala Surat. Luckily got admission in all of them. however choosed cgpit because of free seat. It was the only reason why I choose that college. Anyone who has acceptable scores in 12th can be admitted. Good score may give you free seat funded by state government. But for low grade students, thay have to give some money as donation under the table. Gujarat stateboard exam, Gujcet and Jee are accepted while admission.
Faculty :
There are many faculties, I can't predict student to faculty ratio but most of the faculties do not have in depth knowledge of their respective subject. But majority of facilities have good nature. They give response to students on call also. But only two or three out of 12 faculties has good research profiles and helps students in research part. Among tham, Dr. Anshuman Kalla and Ms. Chandani Naik are best faculties of all. I've completed a research work for 2 months under anshuman Kalla. He has good knowledge of blockchain and stll he is humble and kind to everyone. On the other hand miss chandani has good knowledge of theoretical computer science and delivers lecture with good enthusiasm. She can create intrest in boring subjects too by her teaching methods. However, both of them are very strict. So all semester followes same pattern of 2 mid sem examination containing 40 marks weightage and 1 final sem exam of 60 marks weightage. Lab sessions have three CIEs, each includes vivas, coding questions and file submission.
