Remarks :

It is considered as a prestigious college in Gujarat but not this college is losing its legacy day by day. Infrastructure is very old, due to lack of space there is no chance of expansion of college. Syllabus is more based on theory that the practical.

Course Curriculum Overview :

- this college has educational autonomy so the college can decide its own curricula and also it can take its own examination it is not dependent on any university in terms of education curricula and examination. - we have three exams in 1 semester 2 mid-semester examination and 1 end semester examination. Mid sem examinations are consists of 30 Marks( average of two mid-sem exams taken into account) and end semester examination is consists of 70 marks. Viva consists of 30 marks and semester term work is consist of 20 marks. So all over grading is based on 150 marks.(i.e. 30 marks of mid-semester + 70 marks of end semester + 30 marks of viva + 20 marks of term work).

Placement Experience :

Placement and job opportunities are quite good. This college doesn't provide internships. This college has a rule that every student have to complete 6 weeks of industrial internship. So Student has to find internships outside the campus.

College Events :

This College celebrates various types of events. First event is know how which is based on how to improve employability skills. The second event is Genesis which is aimed to improve the overall personality of students. The third event is the Udaan. this is the most awaited event of our college. This event consist of Technical and non technical events and also this is the annual day of our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

We have two types of seats - one is Government and secondary self Finance. There are negligible fees for government students. ( 5k to 6k per year). For self-finance students, fees are Rs.1,20,000 per annum. So overall it's feasible. Not so expensive.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

So this college offers various types of scholarships. Scholarships like elecon, bhaikaka, MYSY etc are available. Also our college has TEQIIP fund so you can get money reimbursement for you projects.

Campus Life :

This college has various committees like cultural, sports, SAE, Training and placement committee, IEI etc. But sports committee is highly inactive because of absence of playground and instruments. But other committees are working well.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I have opted for the hostel in hostel infrastructure and facilities are very very very poor. There is no mess so you have to go outside for food. RO water is not available. Hot water during winter days is not available sometimes so students have to face problems due to this.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is super strong because this college was established in 1948 by sardar vallabhbhai patel and it is the first engineering college of Gujarat. You will find BVM alumni wherever you go. If you go out of country or you take job in MNC, you will find BVM alumni. A.M.naik (Executive Chairman of Larsen & Toubro) is also alumni of this college.

Faculty :

Some professors are very much knowledgeable and they have depth knowledge of their respective subjects. But the overall quality of faculty is poor they are not very much experienced and also they don't have depth knowledge of their subject.

The students can seat for placement in 3rd and 4th year. The package starts from 4LPA to 39LPA. If you study well and have the skills then you will definitely get a placement and a decent package. My plans is after btech is to go for post graduation.

Students become eligible for placement in 7th semester don't disclose the specific amount and the company is that offered that amount so I can only give you the idea that in my branch there is maximum placement of 5 lacs and the average package was 4 lacs and the students place were 75 or 76% something my plan for after the degree completion is I studies as I don't think that 5 lakh or 6 lakh is appropriate to sustain in the job
