- The comfort and sense of freedom the college provides as its not a very well disciplined of strict college.
- The campus and classrooms are pretty nice and comfortable to sit for classes 9-5.

- The surroundings, the village this college is based nearby is not at all developed compared to others, I feel like.
- The crowd of a college as said its based in an empty village, hence the students are locals not all of them but lot of them which affects the crowd and environment of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course was solely available in only this college and it was new, the curriculum itself was a bit different form the regular course such as CSE. The curriculum does make sure that your foundation for becoming a Data Scientist is strong, but its just the foundation, all the basics nothing advance is being taught but again we never knew the importance of learning alphabet untill we really think about how important it is.
Placement Experience :
From 3rd the student can appear for placements and perfrom in internships. The placements for my branch on campus is pretty less, i wont lie because most of the companies come up looking for a software developer which they usually hire from CSE/CCE rather than DSE. But its not a problem as the market these days has a huge demand of Data Scientiest so scoring a placement/intenrship off campus is what i'd prefer as you'll also get a better package outside than from on campus placement. The percent of students getting on campus placement from my branch is pretty low being around 10% per year but everyone gets an off campus placement for sure. I am quite uncertain about my exact plans after the degree but i am hoping to get a work experience of an year or 2 and def go for masters abroad.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees i paid for my batch is 3.9L per year, There is no convenience of paying the fees semester wise which is available in lot of colleges, only for 1st year you can pay the fees in 2 installments, semester wise. The fees of the Btech courses is rapidly increasing with the hostel fees, at this time the fees for Btech Data Science is 410000 which is definitely a lot more than for my batch. For scholarship the college offers a lot of scholarships mostly of which are directed towards the poor sector of the society but i am not very aware of as such scholarships as when i looked into it i was not eligible for any of it, there is scholaship also based of your yearly GPA as well, if you're excelling in academics they reward you for the same.
Campus Life :
The annual fest of MUJ is called Onerois. The event itself is just pretty fine in my POV, no one as popular has come in a past few years, Last time the main guests were Sidhharth Mahlotra alongside his co actress for the movie promotion 'Yodha'. Before that Darshan Rawal performed as the main guest. They are usually held in February. The library is a pretty accessible library and is pretty huge as well but intake of students in manipal is also high so during or before exam times getting a seat in library is a hectic work. The classrooms are pretty fine with a projector and 2 black and 1 huge white board with a stage for the teachers to climb and teach us on making the visibility a lot better. MUJ has its own college team which plays many college tournaments and extracurricular activities are loads as well but the drawback is that most of the extracurricular activities as such are only available to hostel students as day scholars are not allowed inside hostel AT ALL.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are pretty fine, there are 8-12 boys blocks with a lot of capacity in it, the electricty is free. You have to pay for laundry but usually students prefer 3rd part laundry services as in hostel laundry tends to misplace clothes a lot. The food in the mess is pretty good as compared to other hostels and PGs out here and its on time, never gets delayed and is aways is made in abundance hence never gets finished even a minute before the timing ends. Facilities provided in a room is single beds, Central AC, study table, attached washrooms, storage, etc. The condition of room is based on how long back the block was made as new blocks are being made every year. The accomodation options are double, triple and single. The room sizes i feel are pretty small for triple occupancy as the room size are constant for all the occupancies only the people living in it changes. There are lots of better PGs neary the whole campus itself as well because the occupancy of hostel is always filled as the intake of students in more than the room in hostel every year so if you get into the hostel, you're lucky itself.
Admission :
This was the only college offering me the branch of Data Science in Btech without it being a specialization. I applied to various private colleges such as VIT, KIIT, SRM, etc. I got in every one of them but i chose manipal as it had a more pleasing surrounding and campus other than above reason. Above all it was close but not so close to my home too hence not a tedious to travel back if you ever feel like. The admission procedure of this college during my time was a simple entrance exam, which was easy to score in if you're well prepared for the JEEs, and then you get a rank and the college lets you in the branch using the cuttoff method as applicable in mostly all the other colleges at this point. Direct admissions are available too but you might have to pay an premuim for the same. The eligibility of the entrance or college is very much a basic being 75% or above in 12th CBSE boards.
Faculty :
The faculties are pretty approachable, there is 2 faculty memeber assigned to every class consiting of atleast 50 studnets. The exams are done in a very comfortable manner, there are 2 exams held in an semester. 1st being the MTE (Mid term Examination) which holds 30 Max Marks and is usually held in a week, they dont provide us with any preparatory leave in middle of each exam and usually there is 1 exam per day but in many cases there are 2 exams being held in a day which definitely gets very tough for the students to prepare for. 2nd is the ETE (End term Examination) which holds 50 Max Marks and they are held like regular examinations with enough leaves in between for preparation. The remaining 20 marks comes from the internals consiting of assigments and online quizzes which are pretty much of free marks to gain from. Prepping for exams is pretty convenient as the questions are mostly from the assignments or PYQs which are easy to get hands on.
