  • The curriculum is very outdated in the first year, the faculty is very strict not in academics but in discipline. The attendance criteria is very strict.
  • The classroom facilities are very mediocre with non functional ceiling fans to slow internet and outdated computers.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is designed by the college not the university it comes under and the college itself is an autonomous body. The advantage of this autonomousity is the 'no-moderators' programm that eliminates the need of moderators and the students can check if thier papers are checked and graded properly, if not they can dispute the marks and get proper gradings. The course is equipped with real-world applications. The teaching methods are faculty dependant. The course in itself is very easy in the starting. The exams are very easy and can be passed with just a single night of preparation. Passing the exam is very easy but scoring is difficult. Frequency of exams are 2 each semester. Passing the examm requires 45 marks which means you only need to score 10 mark in written rest is covered by the internals.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active and functionsal. The eligibility for campus placements is Minimum 60% in 12th HSC and not a single paper back in all exams of every semester. Wipro and TCS make offers in regularly and there ar esome other companies as well in some cases. The highest package offered was to a girl that was 84LPA and the placement rate of the college is very low. I plan on appearing the NIM-CET and getting my masters degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The year-wise fees i'll be paying is 27025/- which is divided as follows, Tution fees- 23000, Admission fees- 50, College Gathering fees- 100, Laboratory fees- 1500, General maintainance- 50, Internet fees- 600, College Magazine fee-100, Youth festival fee- 50, College exam fee- 35, Univ Sports fee- 75, Library fee-m 150 and the rest miscelleneous. There is a compulsary fee of 1350 as Examination fee as other charges. There is no fee changes on the basis of reservation all batchmates have the same fees.

Campus Life :

Annual and cultural fests are held annually. The library is very good with thousands of books. The library is automated and it is connected to the ID-Card which eliminated all the hassle with the librarian. Classrooms have projectors and good furniture. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged a lot. Students of this college accomplish a lot in sports. The students in extracurricular students are given extra credits as well. Clubs such as chess and NCC are very popular in the campus. Student feedbacks are taken frequently and complaint are taken seriously. Anti-ragging commitee is very serious and active.

Admission :

I applied for 3 colleges, Dayanand college, Latur, Cocsit College, Latur and Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidyalay, I got rejected by Dayanand and Cocsit because I didn't appear MHT-CET exammination. The Maharashtra Government passed a rule that made CET compulsary for BCA addmissions. Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidhyalay was taking addmissions solely on the basis of HSC exam results. The addmission process was simple. Log-In to the college website, apply for addmissions by filling a form and paying 100/- as fees of registeration. The eligibility of the addmission was a short-list based on HCS exam percentage. The addmission experience was seamless for short-listed students.

Faculty :

The faculty is friendly. There is a mentor-mentee program run by th ecollege that a student a mentor that will help him in his college queries and difficulties. I liked Nilesh Bade as a faculty because he's straight forward, very helping and understanding and knowledgeable. Other faculties are very strict and open up to only a few selected students but teach well. There is not a particular reason for not liking a faculty in this college because all of them are very experienced and carry their own pros and cons. The exams are conducted in 2 phases in which the first is MCQ examm that is added in the internals. The other is the main exam that carries 45 marks, rest are internals. Internals consists of attendance, assignment and the MCQ exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have choosen BCA [Bachelor of Computer Applications] and I personally have interest in computer field that's the main reason for me to go with this field. Also the college faculty has good curriculum for the course and also the college campus has every thing that we need basically. As of now the college will start in a few days and being a fresher I won't be able to suggest the areas to improve for the teaching methods but as heard by my school friends and cousins which have taken admission I find this as the best for the course I have choosen.
