The Not so Average JNU

Remarks :

There are negatives as there are positives of anything, somethings like exposure to different colleges lacks from my college and on the other hand in college events are so amazing that I can almost say it's a positive fact about the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's fine and mostly the same in all the colleges with the same course. Exams happen in semester format like every other college. 2 mid terms before a semester exam and one internal practical and one external practical exam. This sums up how exams are taken in one semester

Placement Experience :

The placements are fine, right now the college is in placement stages so I can see companies like IBM coming to campus for recruitment. I dont know about college internship but I think they provide that as well.

College Events :

Many events happen around the whole year. The biggest even JNU hosts in Technorazzz. Its a 3 day even which includes every possible thing you know that can happen in a college event from sports to cultural activities to DJ night.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It's feasbale for a middle class student such as me. 1lacs a year and additional 1 lacs if you prefer to choose college hostels. The hostels are prry fine as well and for what the college provides it's a fees you won't regret paying.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I don't know any such thing as I haven't taken any loans but my friends who have taken loans say my college has partnerships with banks that provide loan for education. This a a good service for those who need it.

Campus Life :

They're just amazing. Some or the other event keeps happening every time, there's no way you'd get bored with the academics due to the college providing so many chances for you to show your skills and other stuff.

Alumni/Alumna :

The college hosts an annual Alumni meet yearly and many passouts who have good jobs and are settled come to college and enjoy their old lives back. The current students perform for them as they get a glimpse of their amazing college lives they spent.

Admission :

By an entrance exam and an interview they took me in. Asked questions about why I wanted to do engineering and what do I expect myself to do in the future. The exam was pretty good as well, since I wasn't JEE cleared I had to give the exam.

Faculty :

They are good and we'll behaved as well as extremely knowledgable. You want answer to a question? They'll just leave their daily lives to get that answer for you and clear your doubts. They are what everyone expects teachers to be.
