Remarks :

It give so many opportunities and exposures...it is in our hand, how we use those opportunities whether constructively or destructively... facilities and infrastructures are excellent and world class...

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are various courses available in this college...some of these courses are available only in few colleges...Eg. printing technology, mining engineering.... curriculum also updated and has new age technologies. Exam pattern - we had internal marks and external marks. Internal mark is based on assessment tests that happened thrice in a semester.. external mark is based on semester end exams.

Placement Experience :

Placements and job opportunities are far better when compared to other engineering colleges in Tamilnadu...in my batch, around 60-65% of students are placed in core companies..and the other 10-15% of students placed in software companies..yes CEG provides internships.

College Events :

Kurukshetra is a UNESCO certified technical event conducted every year. Techofes and Agni are cultural events..these are inter college events.. students from other colleges can also participate. Then every department has its own technical event (symposium)... mechanical department conducted PINNACLE every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

In our college, the fee is feasible.. because this college is funded by state government..when you come through a merit base, then you have to pay only 8000 rupees as your tuition fee...then hostel fee and mess fee also comparatively very low...

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Educational loan is available in our college provided by SBI bank.... community wise scholarship also available, which is given by state government....this scholarship is available for MBC, BC, SC, ST communities...

Campus Life :

CEG has a big playground and gym facilities...it has separate grounds for different sports...there are many state level, national level champions... CEG has sports quota..labs are also equipped with enough machines and computers.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes. I have opted for hostel....hostel fee and mess fees are cheaper..hostel is good.college has playground and gym facilities....my college has separate hostels for boys and girls. CEG has 20 hostels...food is tasty and unlimited...

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

CEG alumni association is very helpful in giving jobs to current students...this network is active in social media and often raise voice about college future ...and alumni meeting held every year in our college and discuss issues faced by students...

Faculty :

CEG has a mixture of both experienced and new faculties...they are very hardworking.. experienced faculties always helpful for students..they give ideas to students...they helped me to do the project in new innovative technologies

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
