Remarks :

It mainly focuses on study. Extracurricular are good but not that much appreciated. If a student is mainly focused on studies he/she can opt for this college. But if the student is focused on extra talent improvement then there is no scope.

Course Curriculum Overview :

C.V. Raman mainly focuses on studies. It has an extra curriculum known as a center of excellence for skill development. It has 3 exams in a semester. 2 internals and an end semester exam. 1 St internal consists of 30 marks . 2nd internal consists of 60 marks and end semester is of 100 marks. It conducts lab exams as well.

Internships Opportunities :

Placements are good . A number of companies come every year and give job. I don't know about the internship program. But I know that our college sends students for an internship . Students can do an internship from 2nd year.

College Events :

A number of events are celebrated in our college. If a student is in the 1st year he/she receives FRESHER'S party from 2nd year students. If a student is in the final year he/she receives a farewell party from 3rd year students. Apart from that Tech fest, cultural fest, Diwali night, inter college games, intra college games, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible. BTech has a fee of 135000/year. Regular fee is 115000/ year and an additional of 20000/year is for skills. Hostel fee starts from 70000 and upto 100000 depending on the facilities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College offers 50000 of scholarship per year for four years for students who are good in studies but economically backward. It also receives a loan from banks, if a student want to take a loan he/she can contact the college and avail loan facility.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular is offered but not that good , there is not much scope. Labs are good high amount of money is invested in purchasing lab equipments . Labs are air conditioned. If offers basketball, cricket, volleyball etc sports.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel infrastructure is good. You can opt for single, duo or 3 people in a room as roommates. It provides a bed for students. Hygiene is maintained well. But Food is not good. Someday food is like good and other days eat is tasteless.

External Expense : Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni and seniors are very helpful. You can ask anything to anyone and I am sure you will not be disappointed. They will help you in any situation, in any field you need help. There is an anti ragging squad in our college, that means no chance of ragging.

Admission :

1st I attended Jee main entrance. As I am from Odisha, for admission into Odisha engineering colleges the medium is OJEE, so I registered in OJEE. I filled the form and kept C.V Raman college as my 1 St choice. Then I verified my documents as the OJEE counseling date. Then 1st round allotment came and I got a seat in C.V Raman. Then as per the college admission date, I went to college and took the procedure and got admission.

Faculty :

Faculties are experienced. Either they have a Ph.D. or M.Tech from IITs or NITs. Teachers with less than this don't exist, i.e C.V RAMAN doesn't appoint them. Their teaching scheme is good, teaching style is good, doubt clearance is also good.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Placement Experience:

Students are available from 7th semester for their placements. There are companies like amazon , deshaw, Goldman Sachs, microsoft major companies come and also many other IT companies also come and psu, hcl like core companies also come. In CSE almost all people get placement and in us and ece ratio is good but in below branch placement is average. I want to do a job in the software field.

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
