Course Curriculum Overview :

I was highly influenced by the high end facilities provided by our faculty , all type of instruments and maps are provided. We were taught with computarised techniques. The teaching techniques requires a little bit of improvement. The difficulty level of examination is quite hard and timings are well maintained.

Class Size : 200Course Fees : INR 10000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The most affordable government college and also one of the oldest education institutions of India. The fees for the government couse is low compared to other colleges. Nearly the overall fees is under 10,000 rupees. The infrastructure is well developed and maintained. I have very friendly batchmates and the faculty is quite great too

Campus Life :

Many annual functions and other done is held here. They are mostly organised during the winters. The library is quite organised and all types of books are available. We have air conditioning rooms and available computers in our departments. There are many sports, literary and other clubs. They help in character development.

Admission :

I was selected in Jadavpur University, Kolkata but i choose my this college as I liked my course here. The department is very pretty. No I didn't got any rejection as I took early admissions here.The admission is experince is very smooth here and the admission is done on the basis of merits. Though the cutoff is very high.

Faculty :

Though our faculty is not that big but we have efficient staffs. The ratio is nearly 1:5 for both students and staffs. I can say that Geography dept is one the best department with very approachable staffs and good teachers. To be honest I didn't like the commerce faculty due to their low maintenance and over populated department.Lakhs of students study here and the exams are quite difficult , the copies are checked very prominently without any problem.

Admission:

Merit list which comes out announcing the students they will take for admission in our college, depends on the marks that a student scores in 12th examination and a few compulsory subjects are considered along with it.

Placement Experience:

Well, coming to this - internships are available for students for those who are in the science field and students scoring atleast 90% get easily placed and stipend is around 8k to 10k. But there isn't any placements for arts students as such.

Remarks:

After we submit the form, there will be a merit list which will be displayed in the college. The selected students can move ahead with the fee payment procedure and other formalities.

Our course curriculum is different from other colleges as our course syllabus focuses only on crucial subjects of Political Science. The course has been designed beautifully by the faculty and it is interesting to learn such a subject which is still in progress of exploration.

Remarks:

The college experience is good. One gets many opportunities and it helps cater to the inherent interest in this stream if you have one. For someone who wants to pursue the stream passionately, this is a great college. The academics are good and practical concepts are also given sufficient importance.
