Course Curriculum Overview :

As a student of History Hons, I feel DU is the best choice I could made. As the college is known for its outstanding remarks. I choosed to do history Hons from DU as this subject was something I'm interested from very initial period and I think could help me in my further studies. Moreover DU has one of the best faculty members in history which made me more enthusiastic about it

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 18015 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fees which is paid during admission itself is 18015. However it may vary from courses which I'm not sure about The tuition fees is a very affordable one and is quite reasonable according to the course that's offered Moreover I am not sure about the reserved categories admission fees but it's lower than general. In addition the students can apply to various scholarships which ranges from 10k to 25k

Campus Life :

The campus life in DU is a very vibrant one. The campus is very beautiful and learning friendly. One can develop themselves here in every fields. A good library, playground, societies, annual fest are some of the things which can attract people from every background and interests

Admission :

Apart from DU, I had applied in BHU and some other universities. However when I got selected here I didn't check out the selection list of other universities I choosed DU over others as I always wanted to get admitted here. I personally feel DU will do more good to me than other universities in my preference list To get admitted here, one must give the CUET exam and atleast score 650 if they're from general category. However if you want to get into top colleges and courses, a score of 700+ is a must. However it must vary sometime from college an course. If once selected your documents will be verified and you'll get admitted easily

Faculty :

The faculty members of my college are very cooperative and educated. They are very enthusiastic about education and tries to provide the best to the students. Moreover the faculty to student ratio is also good DU has a final end sem exam which is of moderate level for average students. If you're dedicated towards your studies they would be easy for you. Ultimately it depends on the student

Maitreyi College is Underrated, A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

Coming to english hons I had a little different expectations and this turned out to be a little different, This course is too much till where I have studied is inclined towards literature which sometimes students do not like. There are many subjects inside the core, but subjects like literary studies caught lot of attention due to it's attractiveness and different perspectives. Sometimes things go a lot off syllabus which disrupts mindful learning but thankgod it's just 30-40% of it.

The course curriculum is not updated . Teachers uses old method of teaching on pen and paper. Like in statistics now various tools are available in market and instead of making us learn those tools teachers are teaching the most basic things on pen and paper.But the course is very demanding nowadays.

Good and bad's of my college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is basically design to study economics in a depth so that the understanding of student related to world economic, how economics work , how it affect an individual etc increase and he can work more efficiently to give theories and work in the companies related to economics. The curriculum includes value added course and skill enhanced courses that help us to learn different types of skills that are required in the real world applications. Improvement in these can be done by asking the student to apply all these into real life and connect students with the real life approaches related to the course. For core subjects the timing of paper is 3 hours and for sec and vac courses the timing of paper is 1 hour.

Life as a student in DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) i had interest in history from my class 11th. I wanted to further increase my knowledge ane thus accepted my course 2) the course not only prepares u to give exams but actualy leads u to study many papers, books that expands your understanding of the course and also real life challneges where u have to apply it. It also prepares you for further academic pursuits 3) they can opt for more practical learning apart from classroom learning, they can make field trips and let student know about research also 4) the end exams start after 4-5 months of sem start. U are given well enough time to prepare gradually. The assignments, test can make it hectic but if u complete the given work in time, u can prepare well enough for the exams and do well.
