Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum follwed here is CBME curriculum - Competency Based Medical Education. Various teaching methods like AETCOM - Attitude Ethics and Communication,SDL- Self Directed Learning and SGD - Small Group Discussion is followed.

Class Size : 4000Course Fees : INR 18611 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1st year 13650 2nd year 11250 For BC category but for other category it will decrease. The students of BC and MBC ,SC ,ST can get a scholersip of around twenty five thousand . And year exam fees of 11250 collected for first year university exam.

Campus Life :

There will a annual Intra college Sports meet and Intra college Culturals named GEMFEST which is organised by the final year Medicos of this college and there is a Tamil mandram which is one of unique events in medicos life..

Admission :

YhThis college is located in rural area and it is the one and only government college in this district. And the Out patients per day also numerous.The other colleges near to me are newly started but this college is started before 30 years.The Admission is by Tn medical selection counseling based on NEET marks

Faculty :

There are weekly internal exams which are held on Saturday and a single university exam for a year. The passing percentage is 50 percent. After completing 5.5 years you can write NEET PG for doing MD, MS , and DNB .

The curriculum for anat and physio is really nice the way they planned , but plaanning in biochemistry department is not that great . From 2nd year its different, since they let us to interact with patients the communication skill important for a doctor is learnt very well . From secomd year the schedule becomes a bit hectic . . The course curriculum can be improved by not piling up the topics and writing one single exam . But as we are going to be future doctors the memory power checked througj that is important . This course genuinely makes people get fed up with life , but that will be only during the 1st year . Then it will gradually train you to lead life differently and solve problems in life .
