  • The inflow of patients to the hospital is not as much as other medical colleges, hence, exposure to a variety of cases is not given
  • College does not focus much on extra curricular activities, they are still developing on sports and cultural activities

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is very theory based for medicine which requires a lot of time and practice to apply to the real world. It prepares you well for approaching and handling patients with various problems. The teaching can be improved by bringing in real life case scenarios in every class so it will be relatable and easy to understand and retain the information. The exams are kept at a regular interval and with the right difficulty level to clear the final university exam, also helps to prepare for NEET PG exam as well

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is mandatory in the hospital of TMCH. college has a bit low of patient inflow. So, the number of cases seen are quite limited. But there is good work experience given in the hospital. It gives time and energy to prepare for the entrance exams for PG

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for government quota is approx 7 lakhs per Anum and for management Quota is 16 lakhs per anum The fees is on an increasing scale. The hostel fees is 1.6 lakhs per anum.. but the hostel fees have been increased too to 2.6 lakhs with the reduction by 1 lakh in the Tution fee. NRI quota is for 23 lakhs per anum

Campus Life :

Azura is the culturals held every year around the month on October. PORKALAM is the intracollege sports event conducted every year Like other colleges, they don't conduct intercollege events. But they do allow participation to the other events in other colleges Academic clubs are there for students to take part in

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel does not have AC rooms. AC rooms are available in a separate building Fees is 1.6 lakhs per annum With extra 80,000 for AC rooms Hostel has free WiFi, decent quality of food. 3 people in one room The food is of decent quality but not that great. There are apartments available next to the college for those who wish to stay outside

Admission :

In Chennai, TMCH is one of the best private medical colleges, hence I chose this college over the other private medical colleges. I had applied for government colleges but didn't get through due to the cut off. The admission is solely on the basis of the NEET UG scores and with different eligibility requirements as per the category they fall into.

Faculty :

The faculty are very approachable and are always available for the students. Enough faculties are there for the requirements of students. The best faculty is of the department of anatomy. Exams are conducted regularly on monthly basis given as internal assessments. Internal assessments are a great way to train yourself for the university exam. Most of them manage to clear the internal assessments. While those who don't still get the experience and learn to make amendments and pass the finals.

Best aspects of mbbs is that we can serve people and earn for a life time . After this so many specialisations are available for higher studies. Exams are quiet tough and we have to study a lot .at the same time clinical skills are very important to learn

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for anat and physio is really nice the way they planned , but plaanning in biochemistry department is not that great . From 2nd year its different, since they let us to interact with patients the communication skill important for a doctor is learnt very well . From secomd year the schedule becomes a bit hectic . . The course curriculum can be improved by not piling up the topics and writing one single exam . But as we are going to be future doctors the memory power checked througj that is important . This course genuinely makes people get fed up with life , but that will be only during the 1st year . Then it will gradually train you to lead life differently and solve problems in life .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Treating the patients lead me to choose this course. The theory and practical classes are given equal weightage. Hence it prepares us well for real life application. Workload is too much in this course. So I feel this is the major area for improvement in this curriculum. Exams occur once in every 15-20 days. It takes place for 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curricullum is better now, they have introduced a new syllabus under cbme which quite interesting and useful. But they should make some changes in cbme in order to gmhave a good outcome. The exams are frequent that they are keeping monthly exams and assessment exams after each classes.
