Remarks :

Student must have cleared his or her 12th class board examination as well as NEET UG. At least 50th percentile is compulsory in NEET UG. I applied in SGT medical college via state counselling as it is near to my home

Course Curriculum Overview :

MBBS is a professional course. Sometimes it feels like that it is more theoritical than practical. We are supposed to cram the things that have no future importance like name of scientist etc. Exams are usually in June and December

Internships Opportunities :

One year compulsory internship is provided in the hospital attached to college. Monthly stipend is Rs. 5000 only. It helps in skill development by posting the junior doctors in different units of various departments

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Annual fees including all miscellaneous charges is Rs. 18 lacs and for hostel it is Rs. 1 54 lacs PA. No scholarships are applicable. There is no annual increase in fees. Course fees is to be paid for 4.5 years

Campus Life :

Yearly medfest Genesis is organized by college students in November. There are many students clubs to join that offer extra curricular activites. Basketball court and football ground are well maintained.

Hostel Facilities :

Double sharing rooms are available with mess. The quality if meal is average. You can apply for hostels via Student section after a security deposit of rs. 10000 (refundable). Hostels are located within campus

Faculty :

Faculties are well experienced in their field to teaching and training us as junior doctors. Annual exams and practicals are conducted with an above average difficulty. Different departments have different paper patterns

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Schedule of MBBS is hectic as it is a professional degree and in my opinion it must be the same. You have to feel the pressure in real to tackle the things in emergency. You must get through it. The journey of MBBS is way more difficult than NEET for sure. The curriculum is best designed and amended for clinical basis. You only learn things that you must must know for the clinics. The hospital and cadavers are the best teachers. Although they should take those subjects on ease which are less utilised in clinics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my course is training me to be an Indian Medical Graduate, there is obviously a heavy focus on the practical aspect of things. Starting from second year there are daily postings with different departments in the hospital which allows you to learn hands on.
