- This college has one of the best professors who teach really well and also helps after college if needed, as the college is autonomous the teaching style of syllabus is quite good which makes the student to attend the lectures more attentively, it re
- The college’s infrastructure is great it has everything that one needs a classroom to a laboratory and from a gym to a football ground it has EVERYTHING.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I personally chose accounting and finance because it is a common topic that an individual has to learn for the real world even when he is opting for CA, ACCA, etc competitive exam or wants to pursue his/her career in Accounts or Banking so this one is the perfect blend of every important one according to me. The improvements that really hope to be done is to increase the practical part and reduce the theory materials because it really helps to multiply the knowledge in Accounting sector.
Placement Experience :
Pillai has a placement program which conducts some extra classes to educate everyone about how to tackle Interviews with ease, also after you enroll you get added to a group in which you can get the companies also it has a Job Fair just before the completion of Third year. I got my first job from the placement itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1st year's fees was around Rs. 28,000 inclusive of everything which includes tuition fee, ID and Library card fee, enrolment fee, Disaster relief and VCF, and so on, 2nd year's fees was Rs. 30,000 and last year fees was around Rs. 33,000. The increase of fees is not very high so it is great.
Campus Life :
Pillai's has events literally every month which helps the students to not get bored of daily studies but to actually have some fun in college. If you are into sports and play really well then college supports in that too. Too many committees are there for you to join and upskill. And at the end of the Academic year you can enjoy the concerts in Alegria.
Admission :
I only applied in Pillai and got the college because this one is my personal favourite because the fests it conducts and simultaneously the quality of education that it delivers. It has a quite simple admission process like any other college that is apply and fill in the form and just wait for the list to be out and try your luck.
Faculty :
Every course has bunch of lecturers available, for example if there are 3 classes of TY BAF than they have minimum of 10 faculties to teach which is quite good. There is no faculty that I didn't like because they all are supportive. My favourite was Dr. Abida Khan as she was the co ordinator of my course and she was very helpful throughout 3 years. In a year they conduct total of 4 exams i.e. 2 Unit tests and 2 Semesters, the failing ratio is very low because not lot of them failed only those who had low attendance were there mostly.
