Remarks :
College management is very good. They manage each and every event in a beautiful manner. Sometimes, somewhere a mistake occurs but we can't judge a college bad over a lot of good things and a mistake.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelors of Arts (Journalism and Mass Communication) is a bachelors degree in journalism, a course of 3 years. The year is divided into two semesters. Two internal and one external exam is organized for the students in which internals are marked for 25 and external is marked for 75. The same marks structure is for every year.
Placement Experience :
Literally saying, the placement facilities for journalism students are not that good according to other courses. They fixed a day for placement companies meet and interviews but not that much value for journalism students. They just keep all the burden of choosing and doing the job on the student. They don't show such a major role in it. Internships are also only up to you. They only need a certificate regarding summer internship in the time period of June and July. From my personal experience, friendly saying that you have to apply for the internships from the last of April and the starting of May.
College Events :
Colleges are full of events from its first day to the last. This is a very vast platform for students to explore themselves. Here is the list of events celebrated in our college ahead- Orientation day, independence day, teachers day, freshers party, ZEST(celebrated in LLDIMS campus premises) and ZEAL (cultural fests), Anugoonj, alumni meet, debates, monthly discussions with HOD and faculty members together, farewell party and a lot more.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees structure for Bachelors in Arts(Journalism and Mass Communication) in LLDIMS- The total fees of 3 years are Rs 1,74,000/- (1.74 Lakh) Rs 58000/- per year. but they'll get the fees according to 6 months span(semester wise), a new thing is that they offer a discount of Rs 500 to 1000 on fees on early submission.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan but there was a message spread that students of 80% and above marks in 12th class will be offered a scholarship of some money but a long procedure was in it including submission of original documents and many more.
Campus Life :
College campus is not so wide, a small garden is here but a large number of labs like radio, audio, editing, IT, etc are available. The college is far away from that CCD, Mac D, and others, it's in a village named mandi with such a bad environment and unsafe for girls. It's good to enjoy in college canteen and labs with having a vast variety of knowledge as well and if you wanna do a party and chill then just come to Chattarpur metro station first. A wide population of knowledgeable people and gender ratio is good too.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are much friendly. In fact, it's a ragging free campus. You will get to feel seniors as their mates. Ragging is strictly prohibited there and even students are against ragging.
Admission :
I filled the application form through official site of IPU (www.ipu.ac.in/) in time period of May and June. (A login id was given for only our purpose). The date of IPU CET was declared on the official site after which we had a link for our admit cards with the exam center. Then an online counseling process declared under which I filled colleges according to my choices After a span of two weeks, they uploaded the college name in my personal login id and provided a specific time span for the visit and admission in college. (was acc. to my CET rank). The college faculty is very good. They had a healthy discussion with us in relation to fees, events organized, alumni meets, the labs, transport, etc. They helped us in visiting every class and labs only for our satisfaction.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is friendly in nature. They're a teacher in class and are friends, if outside. I met them on the admission day, in fact, they helped me in each and every path of admission, some of the faculty exchanged their phone numbers with me(photocopying of documents, form filling, solving queries and many more). After that, we met on orientation day and classes. A WhatsApp group was created. Concluding, you can say that I got access to the faculty through phone numbers, WhatsApp and other social media platforms.
