Course Curriculum Overview :

Biomedical engineering is considered as one of the growing courses as there are many hospitals there will be many job vaccancy for us or we can even choose to go on industry sides.the curriculum is the best they teach us most of the things practically and theoreticaly.the exams are mostly easy and timings are perfect.teaching methods need to be improved on particular sir not on all

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

As I am an second year I didn't came to know about the internship opportunities available in SRM and they approach us to go on private internships and get certificate which helps in placement.well I did not do any project to be explained I am a rookie

Placement Experience :

At 6th semester companies come for placement and there are more companies which I am not aware of according to research the highest package is 60lpa(don't whether it is true). About 80 percent of students get placed and 15 percent goes for higher education don't know about the remaining 5 percent . I am opting for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees varies from course to course for me biomedical engineering we have a standard fees throughout 4 years that is 2.5l.there are so many scholarships we can see it in SRM websites.you can put admission in online in SRM website and admission fees will be of 1200rs.you should write a online exam and be selected called SRMJEE

Campus Life :

There two big cultural aarush and Milan which are affordable and they invite celebrities.and there are some small culturals.we get more hackathons held in our colleges.library has vast number of books on most topics we need .in class we have ac's and smartboards which are required.there are vast types of sports available here even kabadi and they even go for competitions.there are numerous clubs available in SRM which we can join and if we need to start our own club even that's acceptable

Hostel Facilities :

There are rooms which attached bathroom and ac, attached bathroom non AC, common bathroom and ac, common bathroom and non AC, basic fee structure starts from 110000rs.I took rented house with my friends in potheri near the University there are more numbers of pg s available.and the cleanliness will be according to the rate of amount you give

Hostel Fee : INR 120000 per year

Admission :

I applied to VIT and wrote the entrance exam even though I got selected they did not allowed me to choose the course I wanted that is biomedical engineering.I applied for PSG too but my marks were low so I got rejected.Then I searched some best colleges and SRM got my eye.I visited SRM website and admissions and entrance exams were going online and I applied through their website and got application and date for exam SRMJEE I got selected and as my 12th score in PCM are above 60 percent I got admission.my overall experience were great they deal everything on online

Faculty :

Faculties are very approachable and they even encourage you to do projects.monthly once they keep cycle tests of all subjects which will be considered as internal marks.At the end of the semester they keep semester exam.it is not much tough once you studied for cycle tests which are easy.I really liked a eee sir names Karthick as he would take class in perfect and entertaining way.

Review of placement

Placement Experience:

From 5th senester students are eleigible for the placements. So your 5th semester cgpa is very important. This college provide placements from companies like zoho, accenture, tcs , hexaware, mitsogo and more. The highest package is 12Lakhs and lowest package us 3lakhs.60 percentage of students are getting placed each year. Its fully depend on your skills. My plan is to place in campus placements for a web developer role.

Panimalar : A paradise For The Learners

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible fro the placements and attends interviews from the sixth semester. And the college starts to provide special placeement training from the end of the sixth semester. Even I'm still not eligible to attend the college placements, I hear a lot from my seniors about the placements. From those informations, some of the major and high paying companies like Accenture, Infosys, Sutherland often approach college for the placement. I have no knowledge about the highest package but average package could be ranging from 5,00,000 to 6,00,000 LPA. The highest number of students that are getting placed are from Dept. of AI&DS. With overall count of students attending more than 50% students passes the aptitude and reasoning test round, 15% of students passes the Group Discussion round, and only 5-6% students passes the HR round and getting placed. I personally started to hate these 9-5 jobs after hearing from the seniors who got placed in so called "best IT companies". So, my short term plan is to get placed in a high paying IT company and work till i get fired by any means. My major and long term plan is to start a business with all the savings that I've saved from my job.
